Thanks for reading our Monthly Monarch Band Newsletter! The goal of this newsletter is to provide highlights from the previous month, communicate more about what is happening in our classroom, and provide reminders for upcoming performances on the schedule. We appreciate everything you do to support the kids in their journey with the Monarch Band!

8th Grade Concert (Monday, December 9):

Call time for warm-ups is 7:00 PM on the FAC Stage (cases will be in vocal room). Concert begins at 7:30 PM. 8th Grade performs first, followed by the 9-10 and 11-12 bands. Students should dress their best for success - no blue jeans please!

6th/7th Grade Concert (Thursday, December 19):

Call time for warm-ups is 6:30 PM: 6th in HS Band Room, 7th on FAC Stage (cases will be in vocal room). Concert begins at 7:00 PM. 7th Grade performs first, followed by the 6th Grade. Students should dress their best for success - no blue jeans please!

There will be communication via the school messaging system if there are any complications due to weather.

Band Bills will be handed out to students this week. Check with them to see if they owe any money for emergency reeds, flipfolders, etc!

• Watching his favorite sports teams play (Iowa State Cyclones, Atlanta Braves, Minnesota Vikings)
• Hanging out on the golf course
• Playing video games & board games

• Graduated from University of South Dakota in 2007
• Hobbies include:
• Spending time with his wife and two sons
• Coaching Little League Baseball during the summer
• Playing the saxophone at different performance gigs
• Watching his favorite sports teams play (Chicago Bears, Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs)
