Our staff is eager to support our students as they engage in new challenges and opportunities, and we’re grateful for your continued partnership in making RCE a vibrant and thriving community.
We’re so proud of our three amazing Elbert County Wrangler teams, with many of our own RCE students, heading to the playoffs! Wishing you all the best of luck and lots of fun on game day! Here’s the playoff schedule:
🏈 Playoff Game Schedule:
- 1st-2nd Grade Team: 11:00 AM at Challenger Park, Parker
- 4th Grade Team: 3:00 PM at Bayou Gulch Park, Parker

Go Wranglers! We’re cheering you on all the way!
We also wanted to let you know about a recent adjustment to our Specials schedule and to introduce our new art teachers, who will be joining the RCE family. We are so excited to welcome Andrea Barnette and Ashlee Johnson to the team – WELCOME! With this change, we look forward to continuing to offer our students a rich creative experience in art. Thank you for your flexibility and support as we make these updates. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to welcome our new art teachers!

Meet the Staff.....
We have such an amazing staff at Running Creek Elementary. Each week we "spotlight" a staff member. This week, our spotlight shines on Mrs Lydia Edson, the new RCE Health Clerk. Click on her picture or CLICK HERE to discover more about her outstanding contributions to our school community.
Halloween/Fall Activities.....
The holiday of Halloween is fast approaching and we are preparing at Running Creek Elementary School for a safe and healthy day with our students on Thursday, October 31st. The regular schedule will be followed throughout the day and students need to come ready to be involved in learning activities. We aim to ensure that ALL students and staff members feel comfortable throughout the day with the attire and behavior of all persons on school grounds. To accomplish this objective, we request your assistance and cooperation on some important details.
- Kindergarten to 5th Grade students can dress in costume at 2:00pm for the parade.
- Please choose a costume that does not reflect violence. Inappropriate “props” such as blood, plastic swords, guns, knives, and weapons of any kind are not allowed. Please save them for supervised activities at home.
- Face paint/Masks that makes them unrecognizable are saved for outside of school.
- Students must wear shoes that are appropriate for school.
- The school is not responsible for costumes that are torn or damaged while at school.
- Students are encouraged to have a comfortable alternative in their backpack in case they can no longer tolerate the costume.
- Parents who do not want their children to participate in these parties may arrange to pick them up prior to the scheduled activity or choose to have them participate in an alternative activity provided for them at the school.
- Parents are invited to come see the Parade at 2:00pm on October 31st.
Please discuss the guidelines with your child(ren). We want to thank you for making this day an exciting one for all to remember and enjoy!
