The countdown is on—just two weeks until Christmas break! As we approach the holidays, exams for students in grades 8-12 will begin next week. Let’s finish strong and make the most of these last few days of the semester.
In the meantime, we are excited to announce that there are still positions available to join our Eagle team! If you're interested in becoming a part of our dynamic community, now is a great time to get involved. All applicants must submit their resumes and applications through our online job portal.
Please note: the end of the 2nd quarter/1st semester is December 20, so make sure to wrap up your assignments and finish the term strong! Let’s make the final stretch count!
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the following donors and volunteers for their generous contributions to the 2024 Staff Christmas Fund and the Staff Christmas Lunch. Your support has made this holiday season extra special for our Southlake Christian staff.
**Donors to the 2024 Staff Christmas Fund:**
Your thoughtful donations provide a Christmas bonus for every staff member, allowing us to show appreciation for their hard work and dedication.
**Festival of Tables Volunteers:**
We are so thankful to the volunteers who donated their time and creativity to decorate the beautiful tables for the Festival of Tables at the Staff Christmas Lunch on December 6th. The variety of themes and intricate details in each design truly enhanced the event, and our staff thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Amber Lantz, Amy Carrick, Carey Miller, Dawn Lyons, Julia Thompson, Kim Sailors on behalf of the SLCA Schoolboard, Michelle Vanniekerk, and Nicole Keeney.
**The Boone Family:**
A special thanks to the Boone Family for their generous donation of Christmas trees. These trees transformed the Worship Center of the first building into a stunning winter wonderland for our Christmas Staff Lunch, bringing a magical holiday atmosphere to the event.
**Carlyn and Josh Hurley, LKN Catering Team:**
A heartfelt thank you to Carlyn, Josh, and their team at LKN Catering for providing a delicious and beautifully presented meal. Your hard work and attention to detail made the lunch truly memorable.
On behalf of the PTF, we would like to wish all Southlake families a very Merry Christmas! Your continued support and kindness are deeply appreciated.
Join us for a magical evening at the Father-Daughter Dance on February 21st from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Wilcox Gym! This special event is a chance for fathers and daughters to create unforgettable memories with:
- Refreshments
- A fun photobooth
- A creative craft to take home
Tickets are $20 per family, and pre-registration is encouraged to ensure we have enough crafts for everyone. Come make this evening one to remember!
Calling All Moms, Dads, and Grandparents! Looking for a fun way to get involved? The Lunchroom is in need of 3-4 volunteers each day from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Help us make lunchtime a smooth and enjoyable experience for our students – no experience required. All food is catered and prepackaged; your job is simply to hand out meals to the kids at their stations. Sign up to volunteer today!
