LV Primary Parent News
September 25, 2024
Dear Primary Parents,
This week we earned Show and Tell! We will celebrate tomorrow with a school-wide show and tell event. Please see graphic below. Thank you Primary Bears for being safe, responsible, and respectful!
Bond construction kicked off this week in a big way! Our blue playground equipment is being put in storage until construction is over. It will be relocated to the back of the school once we finish the new wing of the campus!
Our school hours are 7:25-3:40. Our car line opens at 6:45am daily. Student attendance is taken at 9:30 am daily, please keep this in mind when making appointments. A student must be here at 9:30 am to be counted present for the day. A student may only miss 15 school days total for the year (excused or unexcused.)
Thank you,
Mrs. Keck
Principal

Parent Behavior Tip of the Week
Parent Behavior Tip of the Week
Focus: Supporting Your Child’s Motivation to Attend School
Child’s Statement: "I don’t want to go to school! I can’t stand it! It’s boring!"
Parent's Response: "I understand that school can feel boring sometimes, but it’s also where you learn new things and make friends. Let’s talk about what you find boring, and maybe we can think of ways to make it more interesting. Is there something you’re looking forward to this week?"
Behavior Tip: When an elementary child is reluctant to go to school, open communication between parents and teachers is essential. Start by having honest conversations with your child to understand their feelings and concerns, offering reassurance along the way. Foster strong connections by encouraging friendships and creating a welcoming environment—both at home and in the classroom. Establish a consistent morning routine to reduce anxiety, and celebrate small achievements to boost your child’s confidence. If challenges persist, don’t hesitate to involve the school counselor or the behavior intervention team, as they can provide additional support and tailored strategies. Together, we can help your child feel comfortable and excited about school!
