Principal Note
Wait, what?? 6 weeks down!!
The last few weeks have been dedicated to getting to know our students social emotionally and academically, MAP Testing in both reading and math for all grade levels, building our capacity with our PBIS campus expectations and really doing our best to make the days matter for our students. We want all students to come to school excited to learn, have fun, collaborate, and strive to be the kindest humans who will go and make a difference for others and in our community.
Teachers will continue to send out weekly newsletters to keep you updated with what they are doing in the classroom. We hope you find these helpful as we know it is important for you to know what students are learning and doing in class.
We look forward to another successful few weeks of school. Let's do this! Way to Start Strong Cougars!
Thank you for being the best community all around!

Please take time to read about CEP forms... We could lose Title 1 funding..
Parents, next school year we are not slated to be a Title 1 campus. This means we will lose ALL Title 1 funds. This totals out to over $220,000.00. CEP Forms determine if we will remain Title 1. As of now, our CEP forms show that our community is making too much money per year to remain Title 1. Please fill out the forms as accurately as possible. We are crossing our fingers that we remain Title 1 so that we can continue to have the extra funding.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Attendance Updates
Our campus and district continues to closely monitoring student attendance to make certain students are coming to school every day. We know that there are times when our littles get sick. Please ensure you send a note to your child's teacher as soon as your child comes back to campus.
Don't forget that the district has started to send Automated Attendance Warnings to those parents of students who have 3 full or partial day unexcused absences. Once students accumulate 3 full or partial day unexcused absences, the system will wait two days to allow time for notes to be inputted before sending the warning. If a student begins to have chronic absences (more than 5), we will need to work with parents to provide our student with an intervention plan.
Currently our attendance is at 94.9%. This means that 94.9% of our Brauchle students come to school daily on average. We would like to see our attendance grow to 95% or higher, as we want our students to come to school so they can learn. As of now, our district average is 95.4%. We are short 1% from the district average.
We would like to see our attendance continue to be 95% or higher as we want our students to come to school so they can learn. As of now, our district average within the entire district is at 95.4%. We are short 1% from district average.
Let's continue to make it a point to send our students to school everyday. We have our district Attendance Liaison housed at Brauchle. She is a resource for our cluster campuses. She will begin to also look at supporting families who have a higher number of absences (5 absences or more).
Thank you all for being such wonderful partners with us when it comes to your child's attendance!
Dismissal Changes
We know that there are times when dismissal changes may happen, please notify your child’s teacher of any changes in writing. Our teachers are busy at work teaching throughout the day, therefore if you are going to send a class dojo, please ensure you send the message of dismissal changes the day prior so teachers have enough time to see the change. Please do not ask your child to verbally let their teacher know as sometimes the information does not get to teachers accurately. If you need to make immediate changes the day of, please call the front office at 210-397-1500 prior to 2:15pm.
