From Mrs. McKnight
What an amazing Talent Show on Wednesday! Ferson Creek is full of so much talent! A huge thank you to Dawn Forkner and team for coordinating the event. Especially for finding us a venue when the original plan fell through. Our Talent Show raised just over $1200, which will go back to our Music and Art programs. This was such a fabulous culminating activity for the last full week of the school year!
We had our final Ferson Way Shopping events over the last two weeks. The students had saved so many golden tickets and were able to purchase a lot of items! Because of very generous donations from PTO and Five Below, the kids were able to happily shop using their Golden Tickets. We are hopeful the kids came home and showed you their earned incentives for following the Ferson Way! We are so proud of our kind, respectful, responsible learners!
Next Week's Dismissal
LAMPE Day
We had a fun LAMPE day for our 3rd-5th graders! Students participated in both indoor and outdoor activities including chalking a mural. Special thanks to 5th Grader Alex G. for capturing the awesome picture of the mural with his drone! Thank you to all of the parent volunteers for leading activities and supervising students.
Although the weather didn't hold out for our afternoon session, we are looking forward to our K-2 LAMPE Day on Wednesday afternoon! If you signed up to volunteer but are no longer able, please delete your name from the sign up so that someone else can take your place.
Legacy Walk
On Monday morning, we welcomed former Ferson students who were graduating from high school. Our legacy students walked the halls, connected with old teachers, and were celebrated by all!
Save the Date- Welcome Back Day
Welcome Back Day will be held on Monday, August 12th from 4:00-6:00 pm. This will be your opportunity to meet teachers and drop off school supplies. New this year, Welcome Back Day will also be our picture day! If you cannot make this event, there will still be a retake day in the fall.
Zearn & iReady Summer Use
Zearn and iReady are both available for students to use through the summer. These are great tools to help students continue their learning during the summer months. Please see the flyers below for directions on accessing both tools.
From the Health Office
Dear Parents,
It’s hard to believe there are only a few weeks of school left. This is a reminder that you will need to come to school to pick up your child's medication by the last day of school, Thursday May 30th or earlier that week. Medications that are not picked up at the end of the year will be disposed of according to the D303 policy. This policy also does not allow medication to remain in the health office over the summer for reuse in the fall. Medication must be picked up by a parent or adult designee with the parent’s permission.
Looking ahead to the 2024-2025 school year, if your child requires medication or any action plans, your child will need a new form completed by their health care provider for the school year. Forms can be found under health services on the D303 site or linked directly here:
All incoming kindergarten students must present a record of a Complete Health Examination (physical exam) with all required immunizations prior to the 1st day of school. A vision examination is also required for incoming Kindergarten students.
Students entering into kindergarten or 2nd grade will need a dental examination and form completed within 18 months of May 15th, 2025.
All health forms can be emailed to the Health Office Nurse, donna.holloway@d303.org. Or dropped off to the main office. Please reach out if you have any questions. The health office direct line is 331-228-2304
Thank you and have a Wonderful Summer!
Ferson Creek Health Office Nurse,
Donna Holloway
