DRIVER SAFETY EDUCATION
During our prom week we always have messages regarding driver safety to educate our new drivers. On Monday April 22nd we will have a vehicle parked in front of our school for that has been in an accident related to texting and driving. This is coordinated with the Cold Spring Police Department and provided by the Ramsey Police Department to educate students around Minnesota. Throughout the week we will have other activities going on related to driver safety at lunch as well as students doing seat belt checks as drivers enter the parking lot. Our hope is these opportunities to educate make our students safer when they get behind the wheel.

APRIL 18TH, LOCAL MUSHER WILL VISIT WITH 7TH GRADE ENGLISH STUDENTS
For the past ten years, 7th grade English students have been reading the memoir, Winterdance by Gary Paulsen. To help students understand the importance and value of dog sled racing, local musher, Mike Bestgen, has visited with them every year after they finish the book. Mike is a great speaker and is very engaging for the students and staff. He also brings his sled, equipment, and one of his adorable and strong dogs. Let's face it, the dog gets the majority of the attention. We are so appreciative of Mike's volunteering to visit with us every year!
