Please sign up for a conference with your child's teacher which will be held in person at River Mill. It is important to us that we keep you informed about your child's progress at school.

Our Pre-K program is doing a different format so please reach out to Kimberly Adams if you have any questions.

Ms. Krabel is also meeting with families at an alternate time, so if you have questions, please directly reach out ot her.

November is here! Thank you for providing your child with appropriate shoes, clothes and jackets on these cold, dreary days. It makes a huge difference for our students when they are outside for recess.

This month brings an adjusted schedule, so please be watching our updates that outline what the week's calendar is like. Our book fair is taking place next week, and thank you to Debbie Tubbergen, our school librarian for organizing this event, and even extending the hours on Monday and Tuesday so you can drop in and purchase books for your children.

Parent-Teacher conferences are just around the corner. Please sign up for a time with your child's teacher as soon as possible. Our students are taking many great steps toward improving their skills and this is a perfect opportunity to share in that success and next steps.

Lastly, unless indicated, your child brought home a device and charger to use at home in the event of a school closure due to weather conditions. We know in Oregon that the weather can be unpredictable, so we want to be prepared and ensure your child has what they need. These devices should be brought back to school each day since the devices are used regularly in the classroom. Some teachers may have communicated a desire to have the devices charged at home in the evening. If you are able to support that, it would be helpful.

Vision screenings will be conducted for all students, K-5, on November 15th by the Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation, and they will be using the Spot Vision Screener. Clackamas Community College student nurses will also be helping with both vision and hearing screenings.

Hearing Screenings will also take place on November 15th for grades K, 1, and 3.

If you would like to opt-out of either of these screenings, please call the school office.

In order to help you all know what the week looks like, we will begin listing it out clearly for you each week. REID days for are invited students and will change each week. Students are invited to REID days for a variety of reasons. Sometimes it's to extend or challenge a student, and other times it might be to provide extra help on a particular skill. On those days, our doors open at 7:50 and dismissal is at 10:00am. If you have questions about this week's schedule, please let. us know!

We have a number of students who are arriving at school late each day. We really emphasize the importance of coming to school each day and on time to establish routine, consistency, and we don't want your child to miss important social and academic items that are so valuable to their school success. If there is a specific circumstance causing this for your family, please let us know so we can support you. Thank you.

It is important to us that all our students have what they need in regard to technology. We rely on technology on a consistent basis in the classroom. If you happen to have a device or charger at home from last school year, please send it back to school with your child as soon as possible. Thank you.

We know that weather can sometimes be unpredictable in Oregon and at times, students may need to access their learning from home for the day if we need to close school. In order for us to be prepared to best support you and your child, please take a couple minutes to fill out this technology survey so we can get you connected with the right items. Thank you!
