Dear Families,
We ended the week with a wonderful school assembly organized by our second grade tea,. Students taught their peers the meaning of integrity and how to show integregity in all areas of life. It was a good reminder and message for all.
Staffing Update
Our Title I teachers will be finishing up on May 23rd. Many thanks to Marsha Gilmore and Ishita Thakur for the support they provided to our students.
Heather Tassinari will be out for the remainder of the year on parental leave. We wish her and her soon to be growing family well!
We welcome Aleigha Hilberg back to fill one of our 4th grade teaching positions. Ms. Hilberg completed her Merrimac Fellowship at Center last year and we are thrilled she will be returning.
Book Sweep and Swap
We will be having our annual Book Swap event on Field Day. It's a fantastic opportunity for students to bring in any gently used books they've outgrown and exchange them for some new ones to enjoy over the summer. During Field Day, students will have the chance to choose a new book (or even a few, depending on how many are donated) from the selection available. To participate, please have your child bring in the books and place them on the counters in the lower library.
We will need volunteers to organize the books the afternoon of June 5th. Please email Dianna at fulreaderd@chelmsford.k12.ma.us if you are interested.
Have a good week.
Warm Regards,
Dianna and Donna
