August 23- Campus Drill Day
Parents, we’d like to keep you in the loop and make you aware that tomorrow Turner College and Career High School and Pearland Junior High South will be conducting a “safety drill day.” Students, faculty and staff will be practicing a series of safety drills to ensure that all members of our community know how to respond in emergency situations. These drills are required by law and are vital tools that enable our students and staff to prepare for emergency situations. If you would like to know more about our drill procedures, please take a look at the attached flyer.

September 10th- Meet the Teacher Night
THS Meet the Teacher Night- (6:30-8pm) Parents, you may want to print out your student’s schedule prior to coming. If not, you can access the schedule through Skyward on your mobile device, or we will happily provide a hard copy to you upon arrival to Meet the Teacher Night.
While most of the THS faculty and staff will be here, it is important to note that many of the Alvin Community College (ACC) professors teach night school. As such, Dual Enrollment professors do not typically attend the THS open house.
September 11th-12th- Underclassmen Picture Day
Underclassmen-
- September 11 and 12- Underclassmen will be taking their Yearbook photos on either Wednesday, 9/11 or Thursday, 9/12. 9th-11th grade students need not make an appointment. They will be escorted to the photographers during their English class period.
- Please note that we will not be accepting cash or checks on picture day. If you would like to Preorder your student's picture you may do so at atCADY.com/SchoolPictures
- Senior photos, including Senior Yearbook photos, are more elaborate and take a bit more time, so seniors will need to schedule an appointment. Cady Photography can accommodate Senior Photo shoots either at their studio, or on the Turner Campus during what they call Road Shows.
- We have schedule three Road Show dates with CADY Photography, 9/27/24, 10/25/24, 12/6/24.

- Spirit Night: Mark your calendars for our upcoming Spirit Night on September 17th at Mod Pizza and Menchie's—Pearland Parkway Locations. Have pizza and dessert in one vicinity. Be sure to mention Turner HS PTA for in person purchases at Mod Pizza and Menchies. If you are ordering on the Mod Pizza app, use the following Fundraiser code: MODGIVES20.
- Texas PTA Reflections Program: Encourage your child to participate in the Reflections program! This year’s theme is “Accepting Imperfection” It's a great opportunity for students to showcase their creativity in various arts categories. A Message from the Project Graduation Class of 2025 Parent Committee
Project Graduation First Student/Parent Meeting Tuesday, August 27th for the class of 2025
Calling all parents as we kick off Project Graduation 2025. Our mission is to create a safe and substance free - while staying incredible - event on one of the deadliest nights of the year for our teens, graduation. Join us for our first student/parent meeting on Tuesday, August 27th at 6:30 pm in the Turner HS Teaching Theater. We will cover:
- What is Project Graduation?
- What are points and how does my senior earn them?
- How are we going to raise the money to make all this possible?
Every Turner student who attends earns 25 points. Every Turner parent or guardian earns 20 points for their student (up to 2 adults).
Want to start supporting Project Graduation, but can't attend on the 27th? Scan the attached QR codes to follow us on Facebook and/or Instagram and support our spirit nights. Don't forget to email your receipt to turnerhsprojectgraduation@gmail.com within 24 hours of the spirit night to earn 1 point for every dollar spent!
