With a new year and new times for many, it can be tough getting things back on track. Be sure to get your child here on time each morning. School and instruction starts at exactly 8:25 AM.

Who doesn't love getting free food? A school-wide program is now in place for our students to get rewarded for their reading and we are are so excited about it! A huge shoutout to Sonic and Braum's for sponsoring our students and supporting them in their academic success!

At OMS we adhere to a no phone policy. This means that at no point are students to have phones on or out within their school day. The same applies with smart watches. If a student is wearing a smartwatch, it can not be connected to a device or have games on it while at school.

Did you know OMS has walking trails and outdoor classrooms? Nature can be incredibly inspiring and our staff and students love their time in these spaces. The 6th ELA students used this inspiration to gather ideas for their writing as they went on an "ideas walk" throughout our outdoor classroom.

Need to change your child's transportation for the afternoon? Please try to communicate with the office before 3:00. If your child has a doctor's appointment, the latest we will allow for early pick up is also 3:00. Thank you for your help!

⚡Challenge Accepted!⚡ Mrs. Kimbrough's KITES classes have been working on 5 Minute Prototype Challenges involving teamwork, flexibility, and creative thinking to construct things such as catapults and innovative playground equipment.
