The Falcon Focus
November 2024 Falcon Focus
Message from Mr. Ramirez
Thank you everyone who donated candy, and volunteered to decorate a trunk for Trunk or Treat. It was great to see everyone participate. A HUGE thank you goes out to our PTA and PTA board for all their hard work organizing the event. Lastly, if you would like to access previous Falcon Focus newsletters you can do so by visiting the Fort Crook Elementary school website HERE. I will also link it under Family Resources. On our website you will also find the school calendar. All school events throughout the year are included on the calendar and updated in real time. You can also find it HERE!
Please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Ramirez for any questions or concerns at 402-293-4712 or jason.ramirez@bpsne.net and as always, It's A GREAT DAY TO BE A FALCON!
Elementary Bell Schedule
Students who are eating breakfast may arrive at 7:30. Students who are not eating breakfast should not arrive until 7:45. Students arriving at 7:45 will participate in Walk and Talk on the track. In case of inclement weather, Walk and Talk will be indoors. The school day ends at 2:50. Early release days end at 12:50. We ask that you bring your student to the front entrance if you are dropping off past 7:55 AM.
Attendance
Student attendance is crucial for the academic success of your student. We are grateful for your efforts in ensuring that your student is punctual and present at school. While last-minute absences due to doctor appointments or family emergencies are inevitable, it is important to understand the implications of absences in the state of Nebraska. The State of Nebraska categorizes all absences as counting toward a school’s Chronically Absent number, whether they are excused, unexcused, or due to suspensions. A student is considered chronically absent if they miss 10 percent or more of their total school days. For instance, if there are 180 school days in a year and a student is absent for 18 of those days, they are classified as chronically absent. The percentage of chronically absent students reflects on the school's performance. Additionally, it is a key factor contributing to Fort Crook Elementary's AQUEST designation by the Nebraska Department of Education. In the 2023-2024 school year, we were proud to achieve the "Great" designation status.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly @ 402-293-4712 or jason.ramirez@bpsne.net
