Greetings Memorial High School Alumni!
Greetings from the most AMAZING High School in the State of Oklahoma - Edmond Memorial!! We're so proud to bring you this first edition of our Alumni newsletter to keep you up to date on all the AMAZING things going on right now at your alma mater. For those of you who have not been back in a while, I can only say that we're as strong as we have ever been. For that matter, we're as big as we've been in some time with our current enrollment right at 2800 students. We've spent this year reminding our faculty and students that WE BUILT THIS CITY! We have immense pride in the fact that our alumni have gone on to achieve greatness and represent "The Original" Edmond High School in prolific ways!
As we begin to organize our alumni into an organization that works for you, I want to say thank you for getting involved at an early stage. We need you all - those who have walked our halls - to be active members in what will most certainly be a powerful alumni organization. To do this will take a little volunteerism. If you are interested in helping out as we plan for future social events, please feel free to contact our alumni relations coordinator Shelly Shaw (86) and she can find a way to get you plugged in.
Please take a moment to look through this alumni edition of The Legacy. We're honored and proud to represent you - our alumni - as we continue to coach our students to BELIEVE, BELONG, AND SACRIFICE - TO BUILD A LEGACY!! This edition contains a lot of information about the current year. However, we'd love to hear from you and help create an alumni newsletter that revolves around you - the alumni... If you have information you would like to share or events coming up, please let Shelly know and we'll get the events out the best we can!
We'll see you soon at the next AMAZING event here at Edmond Memorial High School!

EMHS Athletics - On Track for Record Year!!
Edmond Memorial Athletics has had an amazing start to the 2024-25 school year. Our cross country teams both qualified for the state meet with girls earning 3rd place and boys earning 5th place and an academic state championship. The girls and boys ran very well all season breaking some school records. Our softball team has continued their success making the state tournament for the 6th season in a row. In the last three seasons, our softball team has won a state championship, finished runner up, and made the state semi finals. We return most of our lineup and two of the best pitchers in the state next year and are looking for incredible things from these young ladies. Our volleyball team had a tremendous year winning the class 6A state championship for the second time in the last three seasons. We have a great group of talented girls on our volleyball team and they are all returning next year to defend the state title. The Edmond Memorial football team has had the best season in over 30 years finishing the regular season at 8-2 and district runner up. We have a first round playoff bye before we host the quarter final round at home November 22nd.

Our Yearbook Staff is AMAZING!!
Our yearbook staff recently attended their version of State. Out of 36 awarded categories, our staff brought home 29 awards. We received highest honors, All Oklahoman, and placed second in the state for our 23-24 yearbook. Danica Triplett received writer of the year and Tristan Brann received designer of the year.
Edmond's Own Bulldog Band - Needs Our Help!!
The Edmond's Own Bulldog Band is in desperate need of a new band trailer. The current trailer the program uses has way exceeded its life expectancy and the cost of repair no longer makes financial sense. As a matter of fact - some of you will remember when "Bulldog 1" came into service and it was a used trailer back at that time. We're still using the same one... Please consider a financial gift to our band program to help out our students! We are REALLY close to making this happen!!
