Crusader Monthly

We will have an important meaning for all parents to provide information on registration, tuition and fees for the 2025 - 2026 school year. This meeting will be held Tuesday, March 4th at 6:00 PM in Father Tom Hall. We hope to see all of you here.

Most Holy Trinity will be hosting Read Across America March 3rd through 7th.

We will have the following activities for these students to participate in:

• Scholastic Book Fair will be open all week. Please purchase some good books to read and help raise money for Mrs. Vass to buy new books for our library.
• Monday will be “Hats Off to Reading!” Wear a funny hat. Be prepared to create a character based on your silly hat.
• Tuesday will be Doctor Seuss Day. Wear a Doctor Seuss shirt or dress as your favorite Doctor Seuss character. Be prepared to do a STEM project in class
• On Ash Wednesday students need to wear dress uniform. Our students should be ready to read a short story or Bible passage that connects to the themes of kindness forgiveness or sacrifice.
• Thursday is “Wacky Tacky Day”. Come to school dressed as wacky and tacky as you can! We will read good books together looking silly as can be!
• Friday is mass day so wear your dress uniform again. Be prepared to make a bookmark with your Lenten kindness challenge. Also, Friday is Grandparent's Day. We hope everyone's grandparents will come to mass and the reception in Father Tom Hall after mass. We also hope you will visit the book fair during the reception!
• Please also remember to read with your children at home this week. I myself learned to read by reading reading to my mother as a first grader. My mother and father were avid readers who instilled in me the joy of good books. We hope you will do this as well.

• El lunes será “¡Me quito el sombrero ante la lectura!” Usa un sombrero divertido. Prepárate para crear un personaje basado en tu tonto sombrero.
• El martes será el Día del Doctor Seuss. Usa una camisa de Doctor Seuss o vístete como tu personaje favorito de Doctor Seuss. Prepárate para hacer un proyecto STEM en clase.
• El Miércoles de Ceniza los estudiantes deben usar uniforme de gala. Nuestros estudiantes deben estar listos para leer una historia corta o un pasaje bíblico que se conecte con los temas de bondad, perdón o sacrificio.
• El jueves es el “día loco y hortera”. ¡Ven a la escuela vestido lo más extravagante y vulgar que puedas! ¡Leeremos buenos libros juntos luciendo tan tontos como sea posible!
• El viernes es día de misa así que use su uniforme de gala nuevamente. Prepárate para hacer un marcador con tu desafío de bondad de Cuaresma. Además, el viernes es el día de los abuelos. Esperamos que los abuelos de todos vengan a misa y a la recepción en el Father Tom Hall después de la misa. ¡También esperamos que visites la feria del libro durante la recepción!
• Recuerde también leer con sus hijos en casa esta semana. Yo mismo aprendí a leer leyéndole a mi madre cuando estaba en primer grado. Mi madre y mi padre eran ávidos lectores que me inculcaron el placer de los buenos libros. Esperamos que usted también haga esto.

Here are our upcoming events for March:

Important Dates.

• MHT Academic Decathlon teams will compete Saturday, March 1st, against St. Pius and St. Raphael at St. Pius. Good luck, Go Crusaders!
• Home and School Parent Meeting Tuesday, March 4th at 6 PM in Father Tom Hall. We will present information for registration and tuition for the 2025-2026 school year. All parents are encouraged to attend.
• Ash Wednesday Mass will be Wednesday, March 5th at 8:15 AM. Students need to wear their dress uniforms. All parents and families are invited to attend.
• 
  
• March Madness: The Diocesan Basketball Tournaments will begin March 6th. Varsity and JV teams will all be entered.
• JV Girls Tournament will be March 6 & 7 here at Most Holy Trinity.
• JV Boys Tournament will be held the week of March 24-28 @ St. Pius.
• Varsity Boys and Girls Tournaments are pending

• Spring individual pictures will be taken Tuesday March 4th. All students who are taking spring pictures may wear free dress on this day.
• Our annual book fair will be held March 3-7. This year our book fair proceeds will fund new books for the library. Please purchase some books and help Mrs. Vass purchase some great books for our children.
• Grandparents day Mass and reception will be Friday March 7th. All grandparents are invited to attend.
• We will have Early Release 1:00 PM Friday, March 7th. Aftercare will close at 4:00 PM
• Daylight Savings Time will begin Sunday, March 9th.
• We will have Spring Break March 10-14. The school office will be closed this week.
• Room Parents will meet Wednesday, March 19th at 6 PM.
• Report cards will be sent home on Monday, March 24th . There will not be any report card conferences scheduled this day; please notify your teacher or the office if you wish to meet with your child’s teacher.
• MHT Board will meet Wednesday, March 26th.
• Our Crusader Fun Run Fundraiser will be March 31st-April 11th . Your child will have two weeks to collect pledges online from family and friends. We are asking each family to raise a minimum of $250. Our students will receive prizes based on the amount of money raised. A list of prizes will be available soon. The actual Crusader Fun Run will be Friday, April 11th.

• Nuestra carrera de recaudación de fondos Crusader Fun Run se llevará a cabo del 31 de marzo al 11 de abril. Su hijo tendrá dos semanas para recolectar promesas en línea de familiares y amigos. Our 8th Grade Class will be selling LOLAS Enchilada Plates. Tickets are $12 each and includes 3 enchiladas, rice, beans and salad. Proceeds will be applied toward 8th grade graduation. Please contact the office or any 8th grade family for tickets.

National Nutrition Month in March is a time to learn about healthy eating and physical activity. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics established the campaign in 1973.

The 2024 theme for National Nutrition Month is "Beyond the Table".

You can participate by

• Trying a new fruit or vegetable each week
• Involving family members in meal planning
• Eating more meals together as a family
• Learning how to make informed food choices
• Developing healthful eating habits
