Our hearts are with Shelley Swahn and her family this week. Mr. Mark will be missed by all of us at BPS. Please see this letter which was shared with BPS families today.
Today during dismissal a beautiful rainbow appeared over the parking lot. A student turned to their teacher and exclaimed, "Look! It's Mr. Mark coming to visit us!"

HUUSD's Curriculum Page
As partners in your child’s education, we know how important it is for you to understand what your child is learning and why it matters. To help you stay informed, we invite you to explore HUUSD’s Curriculum Page to learn more about the learning outcomes for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade.
What are learning outcomes?
Learning outcomes are clear statements of what students should know and be able to do by the end of a grade level or subject. They serve as a roadmap for teachers, guiding instruction to ensure your child is building the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
Why are learning outcomes important?
- Clarity: They provide a clear understanding of what students are working toward.
- Focus: They help teachers and families align efforts to support students' growth.
- Progress: They make it easier to see how students are progressing and where additional support may be needed.
By visiting the HUUSD Curriculum page, you’ll gain insight into the key areas of learning in subjects like literacy, math, science, and social studies.
We encourage you to explore the page and reach out with any questions.
