The Pencil Project
Are you looking for a way to help a teacher out with Back-to-School?
Are you looking for a way to help teachers out with Back-to-School? The Pencil Project was started to help W-GMS teachers meet the never-ending classroom pencil shortage. Since the project got its start in 2018, it has collected over 2,000 writing utensils for students to use in the classroom.
"Giving pencils is a simple thing people can do, yet powerful," said Mrs. Dawn Bane, the English teacher at W-GMS who started the Pencil Project. "It is literally the way a child can express their knowledge and participate in their learning."
Anyone interested in contributing should contact Mrs. Bane.
