STEAM NEEDS
We need cereal boxes and paper towel tubes all year long for STEAM, but we really need them NOW if anyone has any. Please send them in with your student. Thanks in advance!
SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS NEEDED
The School Board will need 3 new members for the 2025-26 school year. The school board is an advisory board that meets the 2nd Monday of every other month at the school. School board members commit to a 3 year term. If you would like to run for school board, send a short paragraph telling a little about yourself and why you would like to be on the board to schoolboard@stcindependence.org. Nominations/biographies will be taken until March 28. If you have any questions, please, reach out to one of the current board members or email schoolboard@stcindependence.org.
40 DAYS OF GIVING
We will be collecting items for 40 Days of Giving for Lent for St. Vincent de Paul. See flyer for items needed. Bins will be located in the school lobby.
PARENT PARTNERSHIP HOURS

If you have not already done so, please log your Parent Partnership hours into MY SERVICE LOG in Sycamore no later than April 30, 2025. All families are required to perform 20 hours of service and failure to participate will result in a fee of $25.00 per service hour. Thank you!

CAFETERIA
CAFETERIA HELP NEEDED!!!
We really need help in our cafeteria on a daily basis. Great way to earn Parent Partnership hours. Kitchen Help will assist the cafeteria with serving food. Cafe Monitor will assist students with opening items and cleaning tables.
You must be VIRTUS compliant. Parent hours need to be logged in to Sycamore for approval!
DRAMA CLUB
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
We are 2 weeks away from our production dates for Alice @ Wonderland and Rappin Fairy Tales.. This time will go by quickly and we need the students to stay on top of their lines and songs. Hopefully you have heard lines and songs throughout your house as your son or daughter practices their lines. If you haven't heard these melodious sounds please encourage your child to practice, practice, practice.
Rappin Fairy Tales will open our productions. Rappin will take about 30 minutes. Alice @ Wonderland will follow. We will have an intermission. At this time the 7th graders have a fundraiser bake/ snack sale for their upcoming 8th grade class trip. This sale is for cash donations, so please remember to bring some cash to support our 7th graders.

Our annual Stagette will take place this Saturday, March 15 at Receptions in Erlanger. A BIG THANK YOU to the Stagette Committee, all the volunteers, and everyone who has donated to help make this such an AMAZING evening!

STAGETTE GRAND RAFFLE TICKETS
Flyers were sent home last week for tickets for our Grand Raffle, a 3 day/2 night stay in Gatlinburg at the "Skyline Chalet" (see QR code for more information!). Tickets are $20 and you do NOT have to be present to win! This is the one raffle that everyone can participate in regardless of if you are going to the Stagette or not! Of course you can purchase tickets at the Stagette as well. All ticket money for tickets sold in advance must be turned in by Thursday, MARCH 13 to the school! Thank you so much for all of your support!
PTO MEETINGS
Our next PTO meeting will be Tuesday, March 25 at 6:30pm in the School Cafeteria. We will be discussing open PTO Board positions and will be taking names of those interested to attend a meeting to review board positions and duties for next year! MOTHER/SON BOWLING EVENT
Our Mother/Son Bowling Event will be held on Sunday, April 13 from 1-3 at the Florence Bowling Center. This is a special event for all boys and their moms/mother figures in St. Cecilia School and Parish in grades Pre-K through 8th grade. Please RSVP for the event using the link below by April 1. Please send in your cash or check, $12/person includes bowling and shoes (made payable to SCPTO) to the School Office by April 1.

6TH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL
CONGRATULATIONS to the 6th grade boys basketball team! Tournament Champs and league runners up. They finished the season 9-1. Damien, Nile, Conner, Liam, Seth, Joey, Wyatt, Ryan, Wes and 5th grader, Grant!! Great Season boys!
BASKETBALL UNIFORMS
Please be sure to return basketball uniforms as soon as possible. Write your child's name and grade on a piece of paper and place inside a bag with their uniform. Students can drop them off in the tote as they walk into school. Uniforms must be returned as they cost $85 to replace.
ANNUAL GOLF OUTING
The 5th Annual Golf Outing presented by the St. Cecilia Sports Committee is now open for registration! Held at Hickory Sticks Golf Club on Saturday June 7th. Holy Cross High School is having its 27th Annual Mulch Sale! We are selling 2 cubic foot bags of red, brown and black mulch for $4.95 each. Pine Straw is $9.75 per bale, which is approximately 12” x 12” x 23”. All prices include FREE DELIVERY and sales tax. HCHS students will deliver mulch and pine straw to your home, business or rental property anywhere in Kenton, Boone and Campbell Counties.
