College Counseling is a team of experienced, trained and enthusiastic staff dedicated to advising KAS students to apply to universities around the world. In addition to Ms. Roth and Ms. Lori, the team includes:

We are really proud of our seniors who are balancing rigorous, demanding courses while at the same time they are preparing their college applications. Counselors are meeting individually with all seniors frequently.

Students and counselors stay organized using the college platform CIALFO. CIALFO is a web-based (and there is a CIALFO App too!), college research and planning tool for KAS students, parents, and teachers. CIALFO helps students manage their college applications, and counselors use it to submit official documents like transcripts and letters of recommendation. This tool provides an individualized experience, guiding each student on a path toward career and college readiness. Parents, teachers, and counselors are able to track progress and collaborate to provide the support that students need.
學生和大學輔導們都持續使用CIALFO（現在也有CIALFO APP了！），這是KAS學生，家長和老師們專用來維護大學申請表，或大學輔導用來上傳各種正式資料及推薦函的軟體。這個軟體提供學生個別的體驗，引導學生一步步申請大學的作業。家長，老師和大學輔導都可藉由該軟體了解學生的申請進度並適當的提供學生所需要的協助。
This week, seniors had an internal deadline to submit a draft of their college essay. The importance of the application essay varies from university to university. Generally speaking, the more selective the university, the more important the essay. Memorable, outstanding essays that demonstrate excellent craft of writing can showcase a student very well, giving the admissions reader a good sense of how a student communicates and more importantly, who they are as a person and potential student on their campus. Counselors and teachers are advising, reading, and providing feedback to all students on their written work to support strong applications.
本週，高年級學生有一個內部截止日期來提交他們的大學論文草稿。申請論文的重要性因大學而異。一般來說，大學越挑剔，essay越重要。令人難忘的、表現出色寫作技巧的優秀論文可以展示出學生的各方面，讓招生人員更了解學生，重要的是，他們身為該大學潛在學生的能力。大學輔導和老師們都正在為所有學生的寫作提供各種建議，希望提供他們申請時最大的助力。
