Hansen Weekly Update
November 24th, 2024
Hello Hansen Families,
I'd like to thank all of you who were able to join us last week at school or virtually for our parent-teacher conferences. It was wonderful to meet and speak with so many of you, and our staff appreciated your participation and collaboration.
Also, thank you to those of you who already completed our Parent / Guardian Survey released earlier this week. The purpose of this survey is to gather valuable feedback from caregivers regarding recent educational experiences. The patterns and trends identified from the data will help us improve day-to-day operations, inform strategic planning, and guide professional goal setting, as well as contribute to the monitoring of our School Improvement Plan and Action Steps this year.
To ensure an accurate representation of the survey results, we ask that one caregiver per family please complete the survey. If you have more than one child at Hansen and you feel that their/your experience is different enough to have different survey responses, you are encouraged to complete one survey per child. If you haven't yet, please take our Parent / Guardian Survey by clicking on the link below:

Thank you!
Indigenous People Heritage Month
Native American Heritage month was officially designated for the month of November in 1990. It is a time to celebrate the achievements of Indigenous people, Alaskan Natives, and Native Hawaiians, and affiliated island communities. We also celebrate the history, tradition, and cultures of these people. We celebrate indigenous greats including Sacagawea, a Shoshone interpreter who guided Lewis and Clark in exploration, John Herrington, from the Chickasaw tribe who was the first Native American to fly in space, award winning chef from the Sioux tribe, James Beard, and Autumn Peltier from the Anishinaabe tribe who became their chief water commissioner at age 14, among many others. The artwork for the display pictured below was created by Mrs. Kohl, a 5th grade teacher.
Thank you,
