The Yakima School District is delighted to announce that Stephanie Casillas will assume the role of Principal at McClure Elementary School, effective July 1, 2024, pending approval by the school board.
Stephanie's educational journey is marked by a commitment to lifelong learning and leadership. She earned her Bachelor's in Education from Heritage University, followed by a Master's in Administration from Grand Canyon University and a Master's in Business from Western Governors University. With 17 years dedicated to education, she has taught a wide range of grade levels, from kindergarten to 8th grade, and served as the principal of an elementary school in Longview for seven years before rejoining the Yakima School District.

Reflecting on her journey, Stephanie shares, "It has been an immense pleasure to return to the Yakima School District over the past four years, serving as the Assistant Principal for McClure Elementary. Working alongside dedicated educators and supportive staff members, we have remained 'McClure strong.' As I transition into the role of principal, I am filled with excitement to build upon the foundation of hard work and dedication as we continue to grow greatness and provide our students with a world of opportunities."
