Happy Holidays from the CDC!
The children of the JSU Child Development Center jumped into the holiday spirit with a special performance from our campus show choir, JSU Encore!
Directed by Ms. Victoria Parris Stigile, Encore! strives to provide the BEST in collegiate entertainment. Noted for having a repertoire of classic and modern jazz, show tunes, and classic pop....their shows never disappoint!
The holiday performance was just a small sampling of their outstanding skill. Our students were absolutely thrilled!!
Thanks to all the Jax State students who filled our PODs with song!

Experience Diwali at the CDC!
The CDC has long been blessed with strong friendships and rich cultural diversity by being a part of the Jax State campus/community. This morning, the children of the JSU Child Development Center were able to experience a bit of Diwali!
Diwali, also called Deepavali or Deepawali, is the Hindu festival of lights. It symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
Dr. Arup Ghosh, along with his lovely wife Shreyashee and a few of our International students, provided the CDC children with an overview of the holiday (even some personal family photos), music and dance, and the opportunity to color their own rangoli design. They also provided our CDC teachers and staff with a WONDERFUL Indian lunch!
In addition to being the father of one of children here at the CDC, Dr. Ghosh is a distinguished member of our faculty here at Jax State! His research expertise lies at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Social Science. He leads the Human-Technology Interaction Research Lab (HTIR Lab) where he and his students study the interactions between humans and technology.
Thank you to the Ghosh family, our International students, and HAPPY DIWALI to you all!
