Social & Emotional Learning
Mr. Scherck, counselor, and Mrs. Krumsieg, social worker, have resumed classroom social and emotional learning lessons. Once a month we push into classrooms and provide instruction on topics including understanding emotions, empathy, good communication skills, qualities of a good friend, and coping skills. We’re using the Second Step curriculum which focuses on social emotional learning and allows the students time to process and share their emotions and feelings during the lessons.
In addition to the classroom lessons, as a district, each school is participating in a weekly emotional check-in called Sown to Grow. Here's a short video about the program:
A Note from the Nurse's Office
If you have not yet given Nurse Tina your student's updated immunization records, please do so as soon as possible. Every student must have this on file in order to attend school. The district's exclusion date is October 31st. We must have this on file by that date or risk your student not being able to attend school.
As we head into colder weather, please keep your student home if they exhibit signs of illness.
A Message from Our Family & Community Specialist
As a reminder, all parents are members of the PTO (Parent Teacher Organization). Please join us for our next PTO meeting on November 1st, at 6pm. In person and virtual options are available.
