Hi Wildcats!

Another big thank you to Andrea Chamberlin and the PAWs team for all of your hard work in organizing the Wildcat Fun Run this week. Thank you to our parents and Pomerado Community for supporting this big fundraising event for our school.

Just a reminder that there is no school on Monday, 11/18 for all day Parent Teacher Conferences. We are on a revised schedule this week that is listed below and off the following week 11/25-11/29 for a Fall Break.

Next week is Parent Teacher Conference week at Pomerado Elementary. Our schedule for the week will be:

• Monday, November 18- All Day Parent -Teacher Conferences (No School)
• Tuesday- November 19- Parent /Teacher Conferences (Minimum Day-1:00 pm Dismissal)
• Wednesday, November 20- Parent /Teacher Conferences (Minimum Day-1:00 pm Dismissal)
• Thursday, November 21- Regular Thursday Schedule (1:25 pm Dismissal)
• Friday, November 22- Parent /Teacher Conferences (Minimum Day-1:00 pm Dismissal)

Ms. Diana, our Health Technician, needs parent volunteers to help her with the Hearing & Vision Screening this Wednesday 11/20 from 9:00am - 1:00pm. Volunteer slots are 30 mins each. Here is the sign up link: https://evite.me/zfk4NKgZq7

We are so excited to share that we are seeing big gains in our student outcome and experience data as a result of our shared focus on what is best for our students! Our continued dedication to high quality instruction and fostering a sense of belonging for each and every student is making a difference for our Wildcats!!

• 3% increase in students meeting/exceeding standards in SBAC English Language Arts & Math (statewide tests)
• 11% increase in students meeting/exceeding standards in Science (statewide tests)
• 8% decrease in chronic absenteeism
• 8% increase in Sense of Belonging on the Panorama survey

Wildcat Run Thank you

Thank you again to Andrea Chamberlin, the volunteers, sponsor, and the parents who helped their children fundraise for the Wildcat run. The kids had a blast taking part in the run and we are so close to meeting our goal of $28k!

The Giving Tree

This holiday season, PUSD has identified families who need support. You can help by buying a gift via the website, QR code or by picking up a gift tag on the tree in the school's office. Gifts should be new and unwrapped. SignUp Sheet | Evite All gifts should be delivered to the office by the end of the school day on Friday, 12/6. We are looking forward to focusing on Gratitude this month! One way to think about Gratitude is “choosing to appreciate the people and things in our lives.” Practicing Gratitude can increase our well-being and even our happiness!

Gratitude is 1 of 3 traits we will focus on throughout the year that helps students Be Well. Across grade levels, students will be developing skills like emotion regulation, positive self-talk, and stress-management.
