Dear Primary Parents,

Tomorrow is our big day! It is our Boosterthon Obstacle Course. If you have not sent in the two guest names, please be prepared to arrive early to get a visitor badge. See information below.

Thank you for your donations! We are working toward purchasing a new playscape for the Red Playground. We do not have use of the Blue Playground anymore because that is where the new construction area is. All students will use the Red Playground for the next couple of years until we can add back a Blue playground.

Our school hours are 7:25-3:40. Our car line opens at 6:45am daily. Student attendance is taken at 9:30 am daily, please keep this in mind when making appointments. A student must be here at 9:30 am to be counted present for the day. A student may only miss 15 school days total for the year (excused or unexcused.)

Ribbon Sale tomorrow- $1 each before school!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to invite TWO parents or guests per student to our PTO Fundraiser/Boosterthon Event. Your child will run during their PE special time Thursday, October 10, 2024. . If the person listed as the guest has not yet signed in as a visitor this year, please stop by the school with your ID anytime prior to the event to have your ID scanned. This will allow us to run badges and have a smooth entrance on the day of the event.

The event will be out at the pit behind the Intermediate School. Thank you for your support and all that you do. Please plan to stay only for your child’s Obstacle Challenge: Schedule below.

**If you are signing your child out, make sure to sign out with the teacher and do NOT send a backpack to avoid having to go back into the building after the event..

Focus: The Importance of Bedtime Schedules

Establishing a consistent bedtime schedule is essential for children's overall well-being and development. A regular routine helps signal to kids that it’s time to wind down, making it easier for them to transition from the day's activities to sleep. Consistency in bedtime promotes better sleep quality, allowing children to get the restorative rest they need for growth, learning, and emotional regulation. For elementary students, appropriate bedtimes vary: for ages 5-7, bedtime should be around 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM, aiming for 10-12 hours of sleep. This routine also helps regulate their internal clock, making it easier for them to fall asleep and wake up at the same time each day. A structured routine can reduce bedtime struggles and anxiety, providing a sense of security and predictability. Additionally, quality sleep supports cognitive function, mood stability, and physical health. By prioritizing a bedtime schedule, parents can help their children develop healthy sleep habits that benefit them now and in the future.
