Superintendent's Message
Loveland Tiger Community,
We just wrapped up the 2023-24 school year, and our graduation ceremony last month was really special. It was great to see the Class of 2024 surrounded by family and friends at the Cintas Center. Walking across the stage to collect a diploma is the culmination of a lot of hard work for the students, their families, and our staff. Our graduates are headed off into the world prepared for college, careers, military service, and more.
Our students are successful because of our partnership with our community. Last year, hundreds of people completed our Community Survey, and we’ve used that feedback to make changes for the upcoming school year. Students will have even more opportunities to explore career pathways, we are increasing and realigning our school psychologist support, and we’ve found creative ways to provide more services for our English-language learners.
Please follow this link to complete our new 2024-25 Community Survey. It should only take a few minutes and will help guide our work to make Loveland City School District even better.
If you want to get more involved, you can join our Community Advisory Team. The details are below. We’ll also be hosting Town Halls again in the upcoming school year. I really appreciate everyone who has taken the time to share their thoughts as we work to build a stronger future for our Loveland City Schools.
If you have any questions, please let me know: mikebroadwater@lovelandschools.org.

Treasurer’s Message
Loveland Tiger Community,
During the May 21 Board of Education Business Meeting, I presented the district’s Five-Year Forecast. The forecast serves as a tool to communicate and assess a public school district's financial health and is submitted to the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce twice a year. Filing the forecast in November and May of each year is a requirement of the Ohio Revised Code. I joined the district in January, and this is the first five-year forecast I’ve completed for Loveland City School District.
The five-year forecast provides historical information for the previous three fiscal years, as well as projections for spending for the next five fiscal years. As we are quickly moving to the end of the 2024 fiscal year, the numbers forecast for that year will quickly become actuals.
You can review the Five-Year Forecast by following this link to BoardDocs. You can also view my entire Five-Year Forecast presentation from the May 21 Board of Education Business Meeting by following this link to YouTube.
I’m happy to answer any questions about district finances. You can reach me via email at espyjo@lovelandschools.org.

LECC Safety Drill
Loveland City School District partnered with local police and fire departments to conduct a large-scale safety drill at Loveland Early Childhood Center. Loveland Police and Loveland-Symmes Fire Department personnel had an opportunity to conduct important training inside the building. District leadership also practiced our safety, communication, and family reunification protocols. Our most important responsibility is the safety of our students and staff, and we appreciate our partnership with Loveland Police and the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department.
OSBA Business Honor Roll
Congratulations to Art Jarvis of Jarvis Global Investments. He was named to the Ohio School Boards Association Business Honor Roll in recognition of his support of Loveland City Schools. Thank you for all you do for our district and students!
LMS Magnified Giving Project Making an Impact
Thanks to a unique project, Loveland Middle School students learned about local non-profits and the importance of giving back to their community. Students researched local charities and delivered presentations about each group’s mission to help people in need. Angels by the Trail and the Karen Wellington Foundation will each receive a $1,000 donation from Magnified Giving. Congratulations to all of our students, and thank you to Magnified Giving for partnering with us on this excellent learning experience!
Website Updates
This summer, there will be an update to our website, lovelandschools.org. The new look should feel familiar and remain easy to navigate. Unfortunately, some of your saved bookmarks may no longer work after the update, but the information you need should still be easy to find. The Loveland City Schools mobile app will no longer work after the website redesign and should be deleted. The new website looks great on mobile - so you’ll still be able to find everything you need about Loveland City Schools. If you have any questions, contact Andrew Setters, Director of Communication and Community Engagement, at setteran@lovelandschools.org.
