Seal of Biliteracy Test: Attention senior students who are literate in both English and another language: Would you like to be recognized for your biliteracy? Seal of Biliteracy testing will occur on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. in the NNHS Learning Commons. Students should register using this link. Students who attended the Seal of Biliteracy informational meeting in September have already received an email with the link to the Google form to register. Registration closes December 22, 2023.
Students wishing to be assessed in Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, French, German, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Italian, or Japanese will take an exam called the AAPPL (ACTFL Assessment of Performance toward Proficiency in Languages). The cost of the AAPPL exam is $30. Students wishing to be assessed in other languages will take another standardized exam, which varies by language, and the cost varies depending on the language. Registration will not be considered complete until payment is received.
Important note: Students currently enrolled in a World Language class wishing to test in that language do not need to register for the exam at this time. They will take the language assessment during their World Language class 2nd semester. More information about the Seal of Biliteracy can be found HERE. Students may contact Mrs. Dinon at Ldinon@naperville203.org or in Room 102 with any questions.
Dress Up 203: Dress Up 203 believes every student should have the opportunity to attend their school dance in style. This organization is dedicated to making prom dreams come true for NNHS and NCHS students who do not have the means to afford formal attire. Their mission is to provide youth in need with the opportunity to attend their prom with confidence and style. They believe every young person deserves the chance to experience this memorable milestone without financial burdens. Please help us thank our Platinum Partner PEACHES BOUTIQUE who is helping make this possible! We hope the entire community will support Peaches when they shop for their next dress. Please mention Dress Up 203 when you get your dress at PEACHES for your free Swag Bag as their way to say thank you.
Team4Teens: Junior Maddi Larsen is running a 501c fundraising/donation effort called Teams4Teens to help teenagers in need this holiday season. She has partnered with local shelters to send a gift to teenagers living in our local shelters. The teens are lost in the mix and always short on gifts, both boys and girls. The gifts are bought online and sent to Maddi’s house. On December 20th she will go to the Toys For Tots warehouse and drop off the gifts. Maddie started this last year and had thousands of donations. If you want to support Team4Teens, use the link below. Your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
