Teacher Communication
- Does the student know his/her username and password?
- Does the student know how to access his/her email? (Gr. 3-12)
- Where are you posting assignments?
- How do you want them to turn in assignments? (Teams assignments, Kiddom ... are the questions posted individually in Kiddom; do you post a link for them to upload Word documents or do you want them to upload in the Messaging window on the side? -- Be aware that they cannot always print out worksheets)
- When are you hosting meetings via Zoom or Teams Meetings? Where are you posting the links to these meetings?
- If you are cancelling a meeting, you need to post that and email your Distance Learners so that they are not sitting online waiting for you to start the meeting.
Some ways to get this information to your Distance Learners:
- Your Edlio webpage
- Your Kiddom Classroom page
- Microsoft Teams Posts
- Remind
- Class Dojo
- Teacher Clever page
- RCS email
Student Organization
For elementary students, it would be helpful to provide a schedule of what subjects are being covered at what times so that they can organize their at-home work in a similar manner.
For high school students, encourage them to make a daily schedule with their classes, Zoom meetings, and what platform each teacher is using.
