π Message from the Principal π
Thank you to the parents who made it to Coffee with the Principal last week, whether online or in person. I love seeing parental engagement as it only makes us stronger as a collective. If you missed Coffee with the Principal, you can access the slides HERE or at the link below. As always, please reach out if you have any questions!
The countdown is on!! There are only 29 school days left in this semester!! π² That means 5 weeks of instruction before Final Exams! If you haven't already, it's time to buckle down and get your academics in order so that you can pass all of your classes. Remember, you must pass all of your classes in order to participate in the promotion ceremony at the end of your 8th grade year. If you fail a class, you will have to take credit recovery for that class. Complete all your assignments, study for your quizzes and tests, talk to your teachers for extra help, attend Tutoring and After-School program...these are all things to help you on the path to success! Come on Vikings, you got this!
Just a friendly reminder, we have no school or VALOR program next Monday, November 11th, in honor of Veterans Day. Thank you to all of our parents and staff members who have served our country! We honor and appreciate you! β€
Congratulations to Mrs. Kracha's Advisory class for winning Music Monday last week! πΆ Will your advisory be the winner this week?!? π
Let's make it a great week, Vikings!! π
Mock Election - Tuesday, November 5th
On Tuesday, November 5th, we will be hosting a Mock Election during lunch. In their social science classes over the past couple weeks, students learned about our civic duty to vote in elections and also about the process of registering to vote. Students learned how just one vote can influence the future of your city, county, state or country. The deadline to register to vote in the mock election is today, so be sure to visit the table at the ASB to register. Vikings, we hope you have enjoyed learning about the process and we look forward to this MVA event on Tuesday. Remember, every vote counts!! Thank you to Dr. Portaro and the Social Science Department for coordinating these efforts!
