Superintendent's Message
Loveland Tiger Families,
Hopefully, we will be back to normal operations this week after the winter weather. I appreciate your patience and support as we navigated a few winter storms. I have my fingers crossed that we get a break from the snow for a while.
An off-day for students isn’t an off-day for everyone here in Loveland City Schools. It takes a team of hard-working people to plow parking lots, shovel sidewalks, and clear off buses. Thank you to our maintenance team and custodial staff for working tirelessly to keep up with the snow and ice. They do an amazing job year-round, but they go above and beyond during winter weather. Thank you also to our transportation team. It takes a team of special people to get our students back and forth to school during winter weather!
If you have questions, you can always reach me at mikebroadwater@lovelandschools.org.
Go Tigers!

Science and Innovation Expo
This year, Loveland will host our first-ever Science and Innovation Expo! The event will take place on Saturday, February 1st, 2025, from 9 am to 12 pm at Loveland High School. This day is an opportunity to celebrate and showcase the amazing learning that happens around Loveland! The Science and Innovation Expo is a one-day event that gives students two pathways to choose from: a Science Expo and an Innovation Expo.
For more information about each pathway, click here to watch a video or read the brief description below:
Here is more information about each pathway:
The Science Expo is a traditional science fair where students have the opportunity to conduct a scientific research project or engineering design project and present their findings to their peers and community judges, with the opportunity to qualify for Regional Science Day at the University of Cincinnati, called the Science and Engineering Expo. If students achieve well at UC, they have the opportunity to qualify for State Science Day at Ohio State University. This pathway is open to students in grades 5-12 who can present individually or in groups of up to three.
The Innovation Expo is an open-ended opportunity for students to identify a problem and solve it with something they will create or to simply create and share something creative, inventive, or innovative. Some ideas may be a DIY craft, coding/computer science project, an engineering creation, or anything else in which your child creates something to share! This pathway is open to all students grades PreK-12, and community judges will provide informal feedback about the strengths of each project, as well as areas to grow. Students can participate individually or in groups of up to three.
To learn more details about the event, how to submit a project, project ideas, and project requirements, visit Loveland's website at https://lovelandschools.org/expo.
For any questions, please reach out to innovation@lovelandschools.org. We hope to see you on February 1st!
