Our attendance team met last week to review April's, and our yearlong cumulative attendance data. While we'd love to see our chronically absent percentage closer to 5%, we are proud that we have seen it below 10% for the entire school year! Below you'll find some additional attendance highlights:

• 45 students (9.24%) are considered chronically absent.
• April's average daily percent present was 95.66%. We are thrilled that we are back above 95% for the second consecutive month!
• Kindergarten had the highest average daily percent present with 97.20%!
• Kindergarten is also tied with Grade 3 for the least amount of students chronically absent, with only 6 each!

We are very happy to have our Kindergarten data so strong this school year. Historically Kindergarten has been a grade where attendance is a challenge. We recognize that it's partly due to building immune systems for new germs, but also know how critical is it to establish a solid foundation and routine for future years. Thank you to our Kindergarten families for beautifully striking that balance this year!
