As we approach the final week of school before the holiday break, we wanted to take a moment to share how much fun the students will have during these last days. It’s going to be a week full of excitement, with special dress-up days, class parties, and plenty of festive activities!

To make sure you don’t miss any important details, please be sure to read the Cougargram for all the information on dress-up days, party schedules, and other fun events happening throughout the week. It’s going to be a wonderful time of celebration, and we can’t wait to share these moments with our students and families.

Sack Lunches on Friday, December 20th & Class Parties

We wanted to remind you that next Friday, December 20th, the cafeteria will be serving sack lunches as the lunch this day to all students. This will help ensure a smooth and timely schedule, allowing classes to enjoy their special holiday parties without interruption.

While students are always welcome to bring their own lunch, we wanted to make you aware of this change for the day.

Please complete the below form by Tuesday, December 17th indicating whether or not your child will need a sack lunch from the cafeteria.

Additionally, we are strongly encouraging parents to volunteer if they plan to attend their child’s class party. This year, we are trying a different format that will provide more space for the activities and help things run smoothly.

Thank you for your compliance and understanding as we follow these district security protocols:

• A valid state or government issued photo ID must be presented each time you visit, volunteer, or pick up a student.
• Please be prepared to present your physical ID upon arrival.
• We are not be able to accept photos of ID's on phones.
• We will not be able to admit anyone to volunteer, visit, or pick up a student that does not present their physical ID.

• A background check is required each school year for people wanting to volunteer in McKinney ISD.
• This includes making copies, PTA events, lunch duty coverage, classroom parties, field trips, and other volunteering that takes place inside and outside our building.
• We encourage all parents and guardians to complete your volunteer application as soon as possible to avoid any delay in the processing.
• Anyone that has not completed a volunteer application and had it approved will not be able to volunteer in any capacity inside or outside of our building.

Thursday January 9th - Fire Drill

Monday January 13th - Alpha resumes this week

Thank you for being willing to help with our "Let It Snow" Winter class parties! All parties will be held in the cafeteria. Please be able to stay and volunteer for the entire time slot. Our students will be having lunch in their classrooms. You will need to be an approved MISD volunteer to volunteer for the parties. If you need approval please use this link to apply.
