Renaissance Panther Rally - "Once Upon a Panther"
PDCMS students stepped into the magical world of "Once Upon a Panther," during our enchanting Renaissance Rally that happened on Friday, March 22nd. This Disney-themed extravaganza was more than just a celebration; it was a testament to our Renaissance Class' commitment to promoting student engagement and recognizing excellence. As we cheered on our Students of the Month, Honor Roll and other achievements, the air was filled with excitement and camaraderie. From the heartwarming performances of Color Guard, Dance Teams and Band, every moment was infused with the spirit of creativity and achievement. Through "Once Upon a Panther," we not only celebrated our students but also encouraged them to embrace their unique talents and aspirations, fostering a community where dreams really do come true.
In addition to our students' enthusiastic participation, our staff added an extra sprinkle of magic by donning costumes inspired by beloved Disney characters. From princesses to villians, our teachers, counselors, office staff and our own Mrs. Dolan, brought the Disney spirit to life, delighting students with their whimsical transformations. Seeing our dedicated staff embodying the essence of Disney characters added an extra layer of fun and joy to the festivities, making "Once Upon a Panther" an unforgettable experience for all who attended.
AVID Center Emerging Demo Walk
At PDCMS, we are very proud of our AVID college and career readiness system. This week we hosted a team from AVID Riverside County and AVID San Diego for an Emerging Demonstration School Walkthrough. Only 4% of AVID schools nationwide are chosen to be demonstration schools. These schools are then used as models of teaching and learning throughout the region. It is an honor to be considered for this opportunity. The team spent the afternoon walking into classrooms, meeting students and teachers, and observing all the wonderful ways we celebrate learning at PDCMS. It was evident that AVID is a part of our schoolwide culture and its instructional strategies impact every student at PDCMS.
We are currently accepting applications for our AVID elective class next year. If you and your student are interested, please apply here.
