Drop-off and Dismissal Updates:
Based on feedback and congestion from yesterday, we've made adjustments:
7:30 a.m.
- Gates 1, 2 & 3 will open for all to enter
- ALL 1st-5th grade students will meet on the field 7:30-7:50
- UTK & Kindergarten students will gather on their playground from 7:30-7:45. Please assist your child with lining up at their designated line in the play area. Please take this time to get your student settled and exit campus by 8:00 am.
7:45 a.m. (1st Bell):
- Teachers will pick up their classes from their designated lines.
- ALL gates will close immediately following the 7:45 bell.
7:50 a.m. (Tardy Bell):
- Students are considered “tardy” if they are not in class by 7:50 a.m.
- Please enter through the front doors are located on Copeland Ave.
Dismissal:
GATE 1 - 3-5 (Meade)
GATE 2 - 1 & 2 (Copeland)
Gate 3 - UTK & Kindergarten (Copeland)
PrimeTime & Character Builders (Auditorium doors on Monroe)
PARENT ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
School Committee Nominations
The School Site Council (SSC) provides parents with an opportunity to be involved in the academic program of the school. The SSC develops, monitors, and evaluates the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) to implement programs and services that support students. (Meets Monthly)
The Site Governance Team (SGT) is a shared decision making board, representing all stakeholders, and mandated at each school site by the San Diego Unified School Board. The purpose of SGT is to ensure that teachers, parents, and administration work together on important issues involving the students. These include issues related to changes in the instructional program (e.g.,homework and testing), site security/safety, dress code, discipline, and parent communication. The SGT also may make recommendations to the School Site Council (SSC) on budgetary matters related to ensuring academic achievement. (Meets Monthly)
English Learners Advisory Council(ELAC)
District English Learners Advisory Council(DELAC)
The ELAC is a site level committee that supports the DELAC, a district-level committee made up of parents, staff, and community members who advise district officials on English learner programs and services. Spanish translation services are available at all meetings, and public testimony can be submitted before the meeting begins (Meets via zoom 5 times per year)

If the $11 membership fee is a barrier, please complete our Scholarship Form, and a generous corporate sponsor will cover your dues. We need all students, parents, teachers, and interested community members to join our PTA so we can advocate with a unified voice on the most important issues facing our students and families!
