Dear Band Families,

Good Afternoon everyone.

I hope we are all staying warm! It has definitely been cold out there!

Last week was a great week. The jazz and percussion concert was fabulous! And, in spite of the bitter cold on Friday, the jazz band had a wonderful performance at the Town of James Island Christmas Tree Lighting Festival! Oh boy it was COOOOOLLLLD! But I could not have been more proud of the students. :-)

If you were at the Jazz/Percussion concert you saw that we had Jostens photography there taking lots of pictures. We had them take individuals of all the percussionists, and the jazz band took section pictures. We also had group photos of both ensembles. We are going to repeat that this week with our concert on Tuesday. Any student will have the opportunity to take individual and small group photos before the concert. And we will take our formal large group photos during the concert. All of the photos will be sent to you in a link where you will be able to purchase any of the photos. I am not sure when the link will be sent to me, but I will send it out as soon as I get it.

Please remember dress for this weeks concert is our FORMAL CONCERT BLACK . That is a full TUXEDO for the Boys - Black Bow Tie and Cummerbund, and our Corelli Dress for girls. I am sorry, but there are not substitutions. This is our uniform.

The next payment for our Disney Trip is due! The payment is $200. If you participated in the citrus fundraiser, your payment will be different. Elisa Jones - one of our amazing treasurers will be outside the auditorium Tuesday evening before the concert to take payments. If you have any questions about how much you owe, she will be able to answer those questions.

The Band Backers are looking for help to unload the many boxes that will be delivered Thursday morning. If you have some time, please come out and help! Many hands make light work!
