Spring Concerts, Staff Recognition, Author Visit, and More.... Spring Concerts, Staff Recognition, Author Visit, and More....

This month was filled with celebration, recognition, and excitement for what lies ahead! We are incredibly #VillagePROUD of both Spring Concerts we hosted. One concert featured our talented third grade beginner student musicians. Our second concert showcased our 4th and 5th grade Village Musicians in orchestra, band, and chorus. Each performance was a powerful reflection of the growth, hard work, and musical development our student musicians have shown throughout the year.

Our amazing PTA generously hosted our annual Staff Recognition Breakfast. Service awards were presented to our Music Department: Rachel Devore, Colleen Dowling, and Kyle Small, as well as our Security Guard, John Watkinson. We also celebrated recent retiree, Mrs. Liz Incantalupo. It was a heartfelt morning and a wonderful way to bring our entire staff together in appreciation, celebration, and community!

All K-5 students enjoyed a lively and engaging author visit with Daniel Jude Miller, generously sponsored by our PTA. During his presentation, Mr. Miller shared what inspires his imaginative stories, his journey to becoming an author and illustrator, and the creative process behind his books. Students were captivated by his energy and humor, and they gained insight into how an idea becomes a finished story. His visit sparked creativity and inspired a love of reading, writing, and illustrating across our Village Family. Woven throughout the day was his powerful message about leveling up—a reminder to always keep going, stay curious, and never give up!

The PTA also sponsored a schoolwide yoga program for students in grades K-5, which was integrated into physical education classes. This experience supported the ongoing commitment our PE team has made to incorporating mindfulness into their instruction. Through movement and breathing exercises, students practiced strategies to help with focus, self-regulation, and overall well-being tools they can use both in and out of school.

There is a special irony in the beautiful cycle of school life—just as our fifth graders took their first steps toward middle school with a visit to see what lies ahead, we welcomed our Future Villagers and their families for Kindergarten Orientation, themed Voyage into Village, as they prepare to begin their journey in September 2025. While one group charts a course for new adventures beyond elementary school, another sets sail for the very first time. Both moments mark meaningful milestones filled with excitement, growth, and new beginnings.

Updates from the Office Updates from the Office

Safety First at Drop-Off and Dismissal

Drop Off: For everyone’s safety, please remember that when dropping students off in the circle, children should exit the vehicle from the passenger side only. The driver’s side opens into a lane with moving traffic and poses a significant safety risk.

Bus Circle ~ Dismissal: Additionally, our front circle is closed to all car traffic at 2:45 pm for buses only, to support a safe environment for everyone during dismissal.

Thank you for your continued cooperation in keeping everyone safe!

Absences, Early Dismissal, Late Arrival:

While it sounds like it is just for dismissal, PickUp Patrol (PUP) is actually a helpful tool for reporting absences, early dismissals, and late arrivals as well! It’s made managing changes to your child’s day smoother and more efficient for everyone.

  • Please remember to enter any changes before the portal closes at 2:00pm.
  • You are also welcome to schedule changes in advance—there’s no need to wait until the day of.
  • We always follow the plan entered in PUP, so it’s important that all updates are made there to ensure a safe and smooth day for your child.
