I hope everyone had a wonderful, restful Spring Break and is ready to go for this week! Please be sure to read all of the weekly newsletters to stay informed and up to date on choir happenings!

It has been a wonderful week taking the milestone steps in the UIL process. Every choir did wonderful at Pre-UIL this week and we got great feedback from the adjudicators to help us continue improving. The official UIL schedule has been set. Details are below as well as each choir's schedule linked below. This is a very large event for our students and they have worked immensely hard for this contest. Please be aware of times in order to avoid any potential schedule conflicts.

If you would like to come support your child, it is open to audiences in all rooms. We will also need parent chaperones both days. I'm currently in need of at least one parent for Wednesday afternoon, and one parent for Thursday morning. Please email me if you are available.

On Tuesday, April 1 Travis HS will be hosting the FBISD High School Band Pre-UIL event. As a result, choir classes will be displaced to the orchestra room for rehearsals. Please ensure that everyone has their materials as we will not be able to go in the choir room during Pre-UIL.

Our annual choir banquet will take place on Monday, May 19 at Safari Texas. This is a fun evening where we will get dressed up, enjoy a meal together, and share the many accomplishments of our incredible students. Mark your calendars now! Details to follow as we get closer.

1. Students have requested that we have rehearsals on Monday, March 31st which is a day off of school. I am happy to provide this opportunity to students as we head into UIL week. Because it is a day off of school, this rehearsal is not required, but highly encouraged if students are available to attend. The schedule will be:

• 9:00 am - 10:00 am Varsity Treble Rehearsal
• 10:05 am - 10: 45 am Mixed Choir Rehearsal
• 10:50 am - 11: 50 am Varsity T/B Rehearsal

1. Middle School Region Auditions are being hosted at Bowie MS this year on Saturday, April 12. Mr. Mustol, Bowie Choir Director, has asked for high school volunteers to help assist in running the contest. Students who assist can earn service hours. If you are available and interested, please fill out this SIGN UP so that Mr. Mustol can plan accordingly.
2. This semester, we have been working in our Varsity UIL rehearsals after school. As a reminder, these rehearsals are a graded requirement of the course and students need to make plans NOW to be sure they have adjusted schedules as necessary for attendance. Please note that ONLY school events can be an excused absence from rehearsals. Outside leagues, rodeo concerts, etc. are not considered excused absences. In general, Varsity Treble Choir will rehearse on Mondays after school, and Varsity Tenor-Bass Choir will rehearse on Tuesdays after school. Please click HERE for the complete schedule. Our Choir Parent Booster Club operates to help support and assist the choir program in many ways! We have regular meetings to help plan events, discuss volunteer needs, and discuss financial needs of the choir program. You can be as involved as you would like to be! To encourage membership, the board has waived all membership fees this year in hopes that you will join us and find out ways you can support your child in their musical journey as a member of the Travis Tiger Choir!

Our Booster Club is still selling our "Travis Choir" yard signs! Signs are available "as is" ($20) or customized ($25)! If you're interested in showing your THS Choir pride, please send in your order money and ORDER FORM (only for customized signs) at any time!
