Word Wall Words
Pictured above are next week’s words. A special thanks goes out to Londan for coloring the page. Below, Londan is building Word Wall Words using cereal.
Literacy Workstations
Aria and Aaliyah playing a memory match game with Word Wall Words. It is so exciting to get a match!
Word Work
During Word Work, we asked Charlotte what she enjoys doing with her dad. She wrote her name and the other students helped write her reply. Above, Bennett wrote the letter “g”. Each student practiced on a dry erase board after Mrs. Poston demonstrated the proper formation. In case you are wondering, she likes to play games on the TV with her dad.
Writers Workshop
In Writer’s Workshop we are writing narrative stories that express emotion. Joel helped teach a mini lesson on adding finger spaces between words.
Reading
As readers we are learning to discuss our stories. Ask your child who the characters are and is there a problem in the story.

February Challenge
With February beginning next week, we would like to challenge your child to learn how to tie their shoes.
100th Day of School FUN!
Phew…such a busy 100th day! We enjoyed participating in a parade, made our own 100th Day books, we counted 100 pieces of cereal (and ate them), and did 100 exercises! Some friends even made special shirts to celebrate the day!
