DMS Delivers
June 7, 2024
Dear DMS Families,
This week, students participated in the PTO sponsored Color Run, as well as Career Day. Thank you again to all of our volunteers for both events, as they would not have been a success without your support. In addition, we want to thank the DIGHTON PTO for their continued support this school year.
Also, thank you to Mr. Andrade for organizing our Career Days. They were an important step in working towards making our students "Future Ready," which is a huge part of the Dighton Rehoboth Regional School District's Portrait of a Graduate. The presentations provided important insight to students regarding what their futures could hold as professionals, and we hope to continue with this opportunity in future years at DMS.
Moving into next week, we have more events planned, including field trips for Grade 6 and 7, as well as another trip for Grade 8. In addition, there is a PTO meeting on Wednesday, June 12th at 6:00 p.m. in the DES Library.
Below you will find information on the PTO Donut Day, as well as middle school Summer Reading, DRRHS football sign- ups, and DMS choir/band sign- ups. In addition, there is continued information regarding DRRHS soccer, basketball camp, and the Youth Police Academy. Please also find the DR Dispatch here.
Have a great week!

Middle School/High School Summer Reading
It is hard to believe that it is that time of year to send out our Summer Reading List. Please be sure to check out the summer reading assignment for each grade level using the previous link. In addition, grade level supply lists will be sent home very soon!
Also, grade 8 families can find the DRRHS High School Summer Reading here.
Chorus/Band Sign- up: Attention Current Grade 5, 6 and 7 Families!
A survey is being sent to all families of students entering grades 5-8 at Dighton Middle School for the 2024-2025 school year. Please complete this survey more than once if you have multiple children who will take band and/or chorus in middle school. Please respond to this Google form no later than Wednesday June 5, 2024. Again, this if for our current 5th, 6th and 7th grade students, and will also be included in the DES newsletter for fourth grade students.
Congratulations DRRHS Graduates!
Thank You Career Day Volunteers!
DRRHS Football Informational Meeting
There will be an informational meeting for all 8th grade students who are attending DR and are interested in playing high school football on June 17th at 6 pm in the DRRHS gymnasium. This will be for both players and parents. Please reach out to Coach Gousie at Kgousie@drregional.org or go to the Dighton Middle School page for his contact information.
Old Colony YMCA Family Resource Center
We have recently made a community connection with Community & Social Services | Old Colony YMCA. Their Family Resource Center is available to Dighton families and has much to offer in the form of support. Please feel free to check out all that they have to offer by using the previous links, or accessing their May Calendar.

Student Chromebook Repairs
In the event that a chromebook is damaged, lost or not working, please submit a Technology Helpdesk Ticket. Once the technicians have confirmation of the ticket, they will provide the student with a temporary device to be used while the damage is evaluated. If the damage is seemingly accidental damage, the chromebook will be repaired at no cost to the student. If you have any questions, please reach out to the DMS Main Office.
