HHS Principal's Update: Week 12
Thursday, October 31st
Good Evening HHS Students and Families,
Happy final day of October, Happy Halloween and for all of the Dodger Fans out there, GO DODGERS!
We're excited to celebrate the amazing accomplishments of our Highland High School students. A huge congratulations to our HHS Band for their outstanding performance at the Hart Rampage Band Competition, earning an impressive 3rd place! Additionally, we are so proud of our incredible Public Service Academy for their stellar showcase at the district's College and Career Evening at the fairgrounds—way to represent HHS with pride and professionalism! Let’s also give a well-deserved shoutout to our Girls Volleyball and Flag Football teams for their hard work and dedication in making it to the CIF playoffs. Although we didn’t take home the championship, we had incredible seasons filled with growth, teamwork, and Highland spirit. Thank you to all our students, coaches, and families for your continued support.
With the cooler weather finally settling in and the holidays around the corner, it's time to stay focused for the final push this semester. Our tutoring sessions, Morning Math, and Saturday School have been busy, and they’re here to help you stay on track. Take advantage of these opportunities to bring up your grades and position yourself for success as we wrap up Semester 1!
Have a great Friday and weekend!

Important Announcement for Students Riding Public Transportation
As members of the Highland High School community, it’s essential that we represent our campus respectfully, especially while traveling to and from school on city buses. Remember, your behavior on public transportation reflects not only on you but also on our entire school.
We have received reports of concerning behaviors, including fare evasion, which will not be tolerated. Fare evasion is unnecessary, as all HHS students are eligible for a GO PASS, allowing free ridership on all public transportation. If you do not have your GO PASS, please visit the HHS library to obtain one.
Any inappropriate conduct on city buses may result in serious consequences, which may include being banned from future ridership. This could affect your ability to reach school on time and may require alternative transportation arrangements. Highland High School students will be held accountable for any negative actions reported by city transportation staff.
Thank you for your cooperation in representing Highland High School positively.
