From Mr. Merrick
Dear St. Jerome Families,
On Monday, Jerome, Roary, Mrs. Claus, and some of 8th grade elves visited the classrooms to pass our candy canes in honor of the Feast of St. Nicholas. Thank you to Basia, Gianna, Jamie, Colin, and Olivia for helping us to celebrate this special day.
This morning, Fr. Reilly celebrated our 10:00 AM liturgy for the Immaculate Conception. We appreciate Mrs. Schmidt's 6th grade class and their helping with the readings and taking up the gifts.
Thank you to our Home and School Association and volunteers for providing the Santa Shop for our students this week. We invite you to come and shop tomorrow (Thursday) evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the St. Joseph Building for our St. Jerome Community Night. Friday will be a last call first period for any last minute shopping before our volunteers pack up.
Last week's St. Jerome Spirit Day to raised 340.00 in donations for our Christmas service project; thank you for your generosity! We are purchasing gifts for the residents of SPIN from our parish giving trees; one for each homeroom with a total of fifteen. Mrs. Kennedy is working on picking up and wrapping the gifts.
On Friday, we will be visiting the Immaculate Mary Home (all outdoors, and the patients will be indoors) for caroling. We will also be delivering cards that the students made last week to brighten our neighbors' Advent and Christmas. The students may bring Christmas or headbands if they would like to add them onto their uniforms while we are caroling; they are also welcome to wear Christmas socks on Friday as well. Friday is also our monthly Holy Hour from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM.
In this week's Wednesday Folder as well as posted below is information about our parish scrip program as well as other ways to save on your tuition. We have one of the largest and most convenient scrip programs in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and I encourage you to take advantage of the program in order to earn credit toward your school tuition.
Report cards for the first trimester will be posted to OptionC on Friday. Please contact the main office if you need your OptionC login. If you have any questions about your child's progress, please contact your child's teacher for that particular subject. Report cards are a good time for the students to reflect on their progress, celebrate successes, and set goals for improvement in the second trimester. We look forward to continuing to work together with you to provide the best for each one of our students.
Have a great rest of the week; St. Jerome, pray for us!
