Project FL SMARTS
The University of South Florida’s Project SMARTS research team has partnered with Pasco County Schools and Cypress Creek Middle School to help identify students who may benefit from additional supports and connect them with those supports. SMARTS stands for School Mental Health, Assessment, Response, and Training for Suicide Prevention. Each student will receive a physical copy of the consent form on Monday, which is the same as the electronic consent. You will only have to complete one version of the consent form if you would like your child to participate. USF is asking that you return the consent form for your child, regardless of whether or not you would like your child to participate. Any student who turns in a consent form, regardless if completed or not, will receive a free bag of Takis. Detailed procedures are outlined in the consent form below. With any questions, please contact Erica Ortiz-Pellicer (eortizpellicer@usf.edu). Thank you.

Aviation Explorer Post and Club at Infinity Aero Club
Dear Student,
We are pleased to invite you to take an opportunity to learn more about potential Aviation careers in your area. Through a partnership with Infinity Aero Club, we have developed a program specifically for middle school (Explorer Club) and high school (Explorer Post) students where we will be diving into several career paths including Piloting, Aircraft Maintenance, Drone Operation, and much more. You’ll have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of aviation careers, explore top aeronautic facilities, and most importantly start down the path to a rewarding career!
We are holding an open house on Saturday, March 16th from 10:00AM to 2:00 pm at Infinity Aero Club – 4639 Birdsong Blvd, Lutz 33559. This session will provide you with an orientation for the Explorer Program and provide more details about joining. Please feel free to bring your friends who may have similar career interests.
This Aviation Exploring program is the first of its kind here in Pasco County and we hope you’ll join us for a great year. Our meetings will typically be once each month on Saturdays. If you decide to join the Aviation Explorers, there is a registration fee of $50 which may be paid at the open house. Checks may be made payable to “Greater Tampa Bay Area Council,” or we can take electronic payments through Square. If you have any questions or cannot attend the open house, please contact Ryan Gessman at 813-955-0405 or ryan.gessman@scouting.org.
Sincerely,
Ryan Gessman

2024 - 2025 7th Grade Tdaps
ATTENTION PARENTS OF CURRENT 6TH GRADERS - (7th graders for 2024-2025 school year)
One of the requirements for all 7th graders to attend school is to have the Tdap immunization. Please take your child to your physician or local Health Department for the necessary immunization.
Return the required certificate of immunization (DOH680 form) to the school so we can document it in our records. Submit the documentation as soon as possible to avoid missed class time at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Please contact our School Nurse Rheanna Caselius at rcaseliu@pasco.k12.fl.us if you have any questions.
