District Spelling Bee open to students in grades 5 through 8 currently enrolled in Chisago Lakes Public Schools. The Spelling Bee will be held at the Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 and will be open to spectators. Three spellers will advance to the regional Spelling Bee on Tuesday, February 13, 2025 with a Snow Day of Thursday, February 15th, 2025. Regional Spelling Bee will be held at Atwood Memorial Center at St. Cloud State University.

Join former teammates, coaches, and friends for our rapidly-expanding 4th-Annual Wildcat Alumni Basketball Tournament from 8am-1pm on Saturday, January 4th! Go up-and-down with 4 decades of Wildcat Alumni, and see if your team has what it takes to beat last year's champions, "Jumpin Jangors". We are excited to announce the schedule and registration details for our winter group swim lessons. The upcoming session will run for 6 classes, held on Sundays from January 5th through February 9th. We will offer four class times each Sunday: 12:30PM, 1:20PM, 2:10PM, and 3:00PM. Registration opens on Tuesday, December 17th at 8:00 AM. Classes aren't full as it may display - they are just not open yet for registration. For those who have participated in swim lessons before, please be sure to register your child for the level recommended by our instructors. • SPARQ Performance (AKA Strength and Speed Training): Student-athletes should come to each training session ready to work and push themselves physically and mentally, with the goal of increasing their speed, power, and quickness through resistance and agility. • Sport Specific Strength & Conditioning: Come train to get ready for your next sport season!

• Total Body: a 45-minute workout that incorporates basic strength training and cardio for any fitness level

• Tai Ji Quan, Moving for Better Balance: A research based balance training regimen designed for older adults at risk of falling and people with balance disorders

• Women & Weights: Learn to lift the right way and become comfortable with the weight rack

• Yoga: Improve your flexibility

• Zumba: A cardio workout featuring Latin inspired music and dance and other aerobic moves

Join your friends at ski/snowboard club on Fridays this winter!! This club will provide transportation after school to Wild Mountain in Taylors Falls.

Chisago Lakes Teams in grades 2-6 are being formed to compete in the Forest Lake Basketball League. This league will focus on improving basic skills such as dribbling with both hands, shooting, passing, game positions and offensive/defensive techniques. Register for the grade the participant is entering in the fall. Games will be played at Forest Lake Area Middle School (FLAMS), game times are at 6:15pm or 7:15 pm. Games are played beginning in late January, and go through February. This is intended for kids that are not in Traveling Basketball.

In addition to the one game night, the participant will have potentially one practice a week at a school located within the Chisago Lakes district. Practices will be planned and communicated by the volunteer coach after the coaches meeting. All players will receive a t-shirt if registered by the deadline, so please indicate size when registering.
