In just a few days scholars will be coming back to school. Our teachers and staff are excited and can’t wait for our students to come back into the building.
As the warm summer days transition into the crisp promise of autumn, it is with great joy that we extend a heartfelt welcome back to another exciting academic year at Evergreen Middle School. We hope this message finds you rejuvenated and ready to embark on a journey of learning, growth, and discovery.
The start of a new school year brings a sense of renewal, and we are thrilled to reunite with our dedicated students, talented educators, and supportive families. Our campus has been meticulously prepared to provide a safe, engaging, and inspiring environment that fosters both academic excellence and personal development. Here are some tips and reminders as we start the 2024-25 school year.
We are looking forward to meeting our 6th graders on August 30th 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. This will be the time for them to view the building, meet some of our amazing 7th and 8th scholars and be introduced to some of our staff.
The first day of school for all of our scholars is Sept. 3, 2024. We have the same start and end time as we did last year 8:00 am-2:30 pm.
- All student schedules are available in ParentVUE and StudentVUE
- Students will receive a paper copy of their schedule as they enter the building on Sept. 3rd.
- Parents may NOT walk their child to their first class. Our doors will remain secure to visitors.
- Make sure to review the bus information.
- Check your school’s supply list.
- Make a plan for where backpacks, lunch boxes, and other school materials will be kept at home. Planning helps the morning go much smoother.
- Start getting back on track with a regular school-year sleep schedule.
- Get in a positive mindset - Talk about all the fun things to enjoy and learn about this year!
Early Release
This year early release days will be every Friday. Early Release Days are set up for Teachers Professional Learning and will start Friday, September 20, 2024. Our scholars will be released starting at 1:15.
(ATTENDANCE IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT)
Parents and Guardians, checking out students before the end of the instructional school day harms your child's education, as they miss valuable instructional time. Please plan all appointments after school hours and during school holidays, breaks or early release Friday.
For safety and liability reasons, please do not use the bus loop to drop off your children. Drive into our parking lot and drop off your scholars.
We have a no cell phone policy during school hours. Students have to turn them off and place them in their backpack or pocket. They will keep the phones in their backpacks until the end of the day.
