My name is Greta Pratt and I have joined the Gator’s school counseling team this year and look forward to having the opportunity to meet with you and your student.
During these conferences some of the topics will include:
- Student’s Academic Progress
- Student’s Individual Career Interests & Long-term Goals
- SC High School Graduation Requirements
- SC Uniform Grading Scale - Grade Point Average (G.P.A.)
- Horry County Schools Secondary Program Options
Please use the link below to schedule your child’s IGP meeting. Thank you so much for participating in this very important meeting!

Immunizations: The Tdap vaccine is required for all 7th grade students per the SC Department of Public Health. If your child is enrolling at Forestbrook Middle School from another state or country, please contact the Myrtle Beach Health Department or your child's local pediatrician to validate their current vaccine record and to obtain a South Carolina Certificate of Immunization. A South Carolina certificate must be submitted within 30 days of their enrollment date. Students who are missing vaccines will have 30 days to obtain the required vaccine(s) to remain in school.

At the beginning of the school year, students were issued a laptop and charger. If your student does not have a device, they may owe fines from a previous year or their registration may be incomplete. You should have received an email, letter or phone call with this information. Payments may be sent to school with your student and given to the bookkeeper or the fine can be paid on MyPaymentsPlus.com. If you wish to turn in a missing/lost device that you have been charged for, the fine can be removed.
STUDENTS WHO HAVE PAID THEIR $25 TECHNOLOGY FEE are allowed to take their laptop home with them. If you have not yet paid the technology fee for the 24-25 school year, the fee can be paid in person in the front office or money can be sent in with your student.
If you have any questions regarding fines, fees or technology policy, you may email Ginger Bullock at gbullock@horrycountyschools.net.
GATOR CAFE
All students in Horry County Schools will receive free breakfast and lunch during the 2024-2025 school year as part of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program.
Students will still have the option to purchase additional meals, food & snack items, and beverages at à la carte prices. À la carte items can be paid for in cash or by prepayment on the student’s cafeteria account. Charging for à la carte sales is not allowed. Prepayments can be made by cash or check at your child’s school cafeteria or with a debit card by setting up an account at myschoolbucks.com. Any charges remaining on a student’s cafeteria account from a prior school year are still the parent’s responsibility. If needed, payment arrangements for larger balances can be made by contacting the school cafeteria manager.
