A Cup of Spartan
A Cup Of Spartan, our program student run business offers much more than just a cup of coffee. A Cup Of Spartan has been offering snacks and specialty drinks. Now that spring is coming, the coffee shop will offer flavored iced coffee, iced tea along with delicious treats such as cupcakes and cookies. There are healthier options too, like nut bars and energy bars. Feel free to sit and enjoy your purchase from A Cup Of Spartan. We now have tables where you can kick back and relax.
A Cup Of Spartan will be making Goodie Bags. You may order a Goodie Bag by picking up an order form in room 143 on B days when the coffee shop is open. Purchase a Goodie Bag for your coworker for an extra special surprise to make their day! There are plenty of yummy options to put in the bag and there's a delivery service! Goodie Bags are $5. Our St. Patrick's Day event was a lot of fun for our baristas and greeters. The green cupcakes and cheese Danish were a big hit and of course the Spartan Bark Bites! Spartan Bark Bites are made fresh so if your pup would enjoy organic pumpkin and oat treats, be sure to place an order.
A Cup Of Spartan hosted another Pizza Friday for staff and it was a lot of fun! Stay tuned for the next Pizza Friday!
You can support A Cup Of Spartan by wearing your very own coffee shop t-shirt! Order forms are in room 143 or see Anita Lewis for more information.

AP Testing
AP testing is right around the corner. Students enrolled in AP courses are currently preparing to take the AP test associated with their courses. The AP Testing Window which is established by College Board begins on Monday May 2nd and runs until Tuesday May 17th. We are excited that students will be able to take AP tests “in person” as this does allow for students to perform within a conducive testing environment.
We are asking that all students log into their College Board AP Account and verify their exam registration. Automated email communication will be sent to individual students during the month of March to verify exam registration and to inform students with information contained within the College Board System. It is important for students to check the email account associated with their College Board Accounts, as this is now important AP Information will be sent out regarding College Board Procedures.

Fine Arts Night a Success
Fine Arts Night was an opportunity for artists of many different formats to connect and interact. Broad Run's National Art Honor Society displayed dozens of artworks with many different levels of expertise. Along with an art gallery, there were performances from the band, orchestra, and theatre. Activities ranging from face painting to creating a mural for the Ukraine were present.
The emotion-inducing art was a fitting follow-up to the memorial which kicked off the Fine Arts Night. The memorial was in memory of Mrs. Louise Paccione, a beloved secretary recently lost by the Broad Run community. Mrs. Paccione was a huge fan of the arts at Broad Run, and her husband and daughter announced that Ms. Paccione asked that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Broad Run Fine Arts department.
The night was a thought-provoking one filled with creativity and human connection.
