Setting The Standard
I want to take a moment to brag on our students and teachers. We talk a lot at school about Setting The Standard everyday about what it means to be a student at Phil Campbell High School. Our teachers and our students stepped it up last year on our Spring testing.
Last Spring our Junior class (this year's Seniors) took the ACT. After going through the data from previous years ACT results back to 2019, this year's Senior class had the highest composite score (16.81) of any class since 2019. We also had three students to score the highest in Franklin County on portions of the ACT: Isaac Pinkard (Math), Trace Duboise (English), and Jonah Terry (Writing).
Our Spring ACAP scores are in and I am very pleased with the results. Our 7th/8th graders last year exceeded the county and state average is English Language Arts, Math and Science. (We will be releasing individual ACAP scores this week and recognizing some students who scored all 4's and those who were proficient.)
Across the board on ACT and ACAP our students scoring Level 3 & 4 (the highest levels) increased and our students scoring Level 1 (the lowest level) decreased significantly.

It is GAME WEEK! Our volleyball and football teams host their first home games this week. All three of our volleyball teams will host Russellville and Phillips on Tuesday. Admission is $6. Our football team will host Hamilton on Friday. Admission is $8. We hope to see you at both, supporting all of our student-athletes, band and cheerleaders! We will also recognized some our students academic achievements at the football game on Friday night.
