Finishing Strong: The Final Stretch of the School Year
Dear Franklin Academy Families,
As we enter the final three weeks of the school year, we want to take a moment to thank you for your continued partnership and support. This is a time filled with excitement, reflection, and anticipation—students are looking forward to summer, but we are encouraging them to stay focused and finish strong.
These last days are critical for several reasons:
-
Final grades and assessments are being completed.
-
State test scores are coming in and help determine next steps for many students.
-
Behavior and attendance still count—how we end the year matters just as much as how we began.
We ask for your support in:
-
Ensuring your child attends school every day and arrives on time.
-
Encouraging them to give their best effort, especially in their final projects or assessments.
-
Reminding them to be respectful, responsible, and engaged until the very end.
Let’s work together to help our students close this chapter with pride and purpose. We are proud of how far they’ve come, and we look forward to celebrating their accomplishments soon!
Your proud principal,
Mr. Delgado
Staff Member in the Spotlight
🌟 Staff in the Spotlight: Ms. Julissa Caceres🌟
This week, we proudly shine the spotlight on Ms. Julissa Caceres, our dedicated Intensive Reading teacher for high school students. Ms. Caceres plays a vital role in supporting some of our most vulnerable learners—those who struggle with reading—and she does it with patience, skill, and heart.
Her classroom is a place where growth happens, confidence is built, and students are encouraged to believe in themselves. Through thoughtful planning and intentional instruction, she prepares our struggling readers not only for assessments but for life beyond the classroom.
But what truly sets Ms. Caceres apart is her unwavering support and presence for her students. She goes beyond academics, always showing up for them—whether it's offering a listening ear, a word of encouragement, or a steady presence when it's most needed.
Ms. Caceres, thank you for your compassion, your commitment, and your belief in every student’s potential. You are a gift to our school community!
IMPORTANT: Service Hours
As agreed to by all Parents/Guardians and defined in the Parent School Contract, Franklin Academy families must complete service hours each academic year. Franklin Academy’s family service hour agreement states that Franklin families will be required to perform eight (8) hours of service for the academic year regardless of the number of students enrolled.
Families are required to complete 8 hours by June 30th, we highly recommend completing them as soon as possible. Families can check Raptor to ensure hours are accurately recorded. The hours in Raptor will roll over into PowerSchool about a week after each quarter ends. If you notice any issues, please email Mr. Carnaggie at Carnaggie.Christopher@franklin-academy.org.
Our goal is for 100 percent of our families to complete their required hours and ensure no student loses their seat.
