Hey Eagle Family. It's time to do what we do best...support each other!!!
We are coordinating a fundraiser for Tyler Smith and his son, Peyton, to help lend some support to them during their ongoing treatments for Peyton.
Peyton is the son of Tyler Smith, Northside Social Studies teacher and Flag Football Coach. It was recently discovered that Peyton had a rare tumor.
In an effort to show solidarity, we have designed a T-shirt featuring Peyton's (and Tyler's) favorite thing in the world, tractors, the yellow ribbon that signifies support for finding a cure to pediatric cancer, and the catchphrase
"Pullin' for Peyton".
We would like to extend an invitation to anyone who would like to support as well.
Pullin for Peyton
Pulling for Peyton has become an integral part of our Northside Family!!! Today (October 4th) we showcased our support by wearing our "Pulling for Peyton" t-shirts that we all purchased
as a fundraiser.
Parents/Families it is pertinent that you stay involved with your students

It's time to register for our NHS Mini Cheer Camp!!!
Congratulations Frederick Glover...The September Optimist Student of the Month!!
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, FCCLA hosted a dance class to bring students together through the joy of movement while also promoting healthy eating habits for the mind and body. The class was led by Ashton Paredes, a former NHS Eagle, and his father, offering a wonderful opportunity to unite the school community.
Hey Northside Family, as we all know there was a hurricane that went through Georgia this past week and while it might not have affected us it definitely did other places.
There are so many families that show livestock of all species affected by Hurricane Helene, yet are still making plans to attend the Georgia National Fair, if for nothing more than to reach some normalcy, have electricity and regular showers for a few days. Some of these families have been told that it may be as much as three-four weeks without electricity.
A group of people and parents in the ag industry have come together to make the goal to gather supplies that can be divided and sent back home with families from affected areas to hopefully reach as many people as possible as clean up efforts continue. Please spread the word and we ask that if anyone attending from affected areas is able to take supplies back to their hometowns to please reach out and let us put them on a list for distribution.
If you are in Talton or Blalock’s class and decide to bring in items it will accounted for extra credit. If you cannot bring in items please keep the families and farms affected by the hurricane in
your thoughts.
SAT and ACT Testing Dates are as follows:
If you have students that would like to take the SAT or ACT and may need assistance in paying for these tests, testing waivers (for those who are eligible) are available in the counselor’s office.
Students can complete the SAT/ACT testing waivers request form to request a testing waiver. The testing waiver request form can be found in the Class of 2025 and Class of 2026 Canvas Classrooms.
The link to the testing waiver can also be found here: SAT/ACT Waiver Request Form
If found eligible for a testing Waiver, students who qualify for a fee waiver code will receive the code via email from their counselor.
Counselors will email the code to the student’s school email.
