BEAR MAIL
Friday January 31st.
Message from the BCE Office
Hello,
Thank you to all who supported the 5th-grade spaghetti feed last weekend. There was an amazing turnout and a special thank you to Dawn Harker for the organization and support.
What a fantastic week it has been. We celebrated our 100th day of school in so many ways. It was also the 101st day, with Cruella Devil hiding puppies all over campus for the kids to find. On Thursday, we had our amazing awards assembly and a magical parade. I am so proud of our students and staff for showing so much kindness. Thank you to the community for supporting us and helping BCE students show the BCE Way. Let's make this a tradition.
Thank you for all your understanding regarding our new gates. We have started closing the gates daily. One small change is that we will close the gates from 8:30 to 8:35. If you arrive after this, you will need to check in at the office and get a pass.
Intent to return. We need every student to respond to start planning classes and staffing support for next year. Please take 2 minutes to complete the Google form below.
Have a wonderful weekend, a wonderful weekend,
Gerri Fippin
Principal, BCE

Don't Forget the Rules for Drop off and Pick up
Drop Off and Pick Up
We have had several issues the past couple of weeks at both drop off and pick up. Please know that all of us out at the cross walk are only trying to keep our students and families safe. I wanted to remind everyone to please first be Kind and Patient. Here are a few reminders about pick up and drop off
- You can drop off on either side of Laurel Street.
- You can NOT drop off coming up on Lomond street.
- You can only leave your car in designated parking spots on Laurel street.
- Make sure you are not parking in front of our neighbors drive ways
- On Lomond Street, you need to park in the right direction. Buses are not able to get through when cars are away from the side and parked in the wrong direction.
- When walking down Lomond Street please use the sidewalk. We have had a few close calls with kids and parents walking in the center of the street.
Thank you everyone for helping ensure safety of all of our students. Below is the parking map again for reference.

PBIS
Positive Behavior Support will continue to be a major focus for BCE this year. Our focus is on the BCE Way - Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible. We give out Bear Paws for making good choices. Bear Paws will be used like cash at the Bear Paw student store. Our first Bear Paw Store was today! Students had a lot of fun! Ask your BCE Bear how they earned Bear Paws.
