Week of September 16th
Fall Choir Concert
The Fall Choir Concert will be at 7 PM on Thursday, September 26th at The Cross Church, located on 100 N. First St. Wylie, TX 75098.
- Student call time is 5:30 PM, and Tempo call time is 5:00 PM.
- Doors will open for parent seating at 6:45 PM.
- All students should report to their call time dressed in their concert uniform.
- Student attendance is mandatory and students will receive a major grade for their concert performance. Students will be evaluated for their major grade on their concert performance, concert etiquette, and adherence to the student cell phone policy. Students should not have their cell phone out at all during the duration of the concert-if a cell phone is out, directors will confiscate the phone and the parent of the student can pick it up after the concert. Students should all pre-plan their ride home from the event. Remember to pick up your student in a timely manner. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday evening!
Choir Uniform Info
Our choir students should have all received their new choir uniforms at Fitting Night on Thursday, September 5th. Treble singers have been provided the concert dress, and tenor bass singers have been provided the tux jacket and tux pants. Male students will receive their tie and cumberbund at the first concert.
There are some pieces of the choir uniform that the student is responsible for providing and not the choir department.
Female students must wear their own socks/tights and black dress shoes such as black flats or small heels (up to 2 inches). Students may not wear large jewelry to perform, and should limit use of perfumes as some students have strong migraine reactions to them.
Male students are responsible for wearing their own black dress shoes, black dress socks, and their own white tux shirt. These tux shirts are not the typical white dress shirt, but instead have small ridges down the center of the chest. We've included a link to a white tuxedo shirt your family may be interesting in purchasing off Amazon, although any brand of white tuxedo shirt will do.

Region Auditions
Congratulations to all of our amazing singers that auditioned at the District Round of All Region Auditions last Saturday. We had a wonderful crew of Pirate Choir volunteers that helped to run the contest all day and host the over 800 singers who competed in this first round of auditions. Thank you for your time and thank you to our wonderful booster club and parent volunteers for providing breakfast and lunch to the judges.
Congratulations to the 47 WHS Pirate Choir singers who are advancing on to Round 2 Region Auditions! Round 2 Auditions are October 1st at Princeton HS and registration is from 2-3pm. Auditions will start at 3:30pm and students may leave after their audition. Students will be field tripped out of their 5th-7th period classes for this audition. All students should have indicated in class if they were planning to drive themselves to the audition or bus over from Wylie HS and be picked up by a parent. No transportation will be provided back to Wylie HS, so if a student has chosen to bus over, then you must make plans to be picked up after your vocal audition.
Please do NOT sign up for the SAT on November 2nd if you plan to participate in the All Region Audition Process, as the All Region Clinic and Concert is November 2nd.
